This is a look into what would be the best case scenario for each team for their first few picks of the draft. By no means is this a mock draft and players might get picked multiple times over multiple rounds. This is just a look into what would be the best selection for the team at that pick.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

1st: Randy Gregory, DE Nebraska

2nd: Brett Hundley, QB UCLA

3rd: DJ Humphries, OT Florida

4th: Carl Davis, DT Iowa

As cliche as it may sound, Tampa needs “playmakers” and “cornerstone players.” They have a talent poor roster on both sides of the ball and their large investment in the free agency market in 2014 has largely seen zero results. Both Michael Johnson and Anthony Collins appears to be cap cuts only a year after both were handed large contracts. The early word from Tampa is that Lovie Smith doesn’t think much of either Jameis Winston or Marcus Mariota and might just go best player available at #1 if he can’t deal down (he can’t). It should be expected that they’ll take a QB with one of their top three picks, so this scenario has them replacing (or augmenting) Michael Johnson with Randy Gregory, doing the same with DJ Humphries/Anthony Collins and adding a QB in the 2nd. If they were to take Winston #1 overall, then the 2nd round pick would be a strongside DE like Preston Smith.

Tennessee Titans

1st: Randy Gregory, OLB Nebraska

2nd: Brett Hundley, QB UCLA

3rd: Cedric Ogbuehi, OT Texas A&M

4th: Phillip Dorsett, WR Miami

Tennessee is another team that falls into the cliche roundabout that Tampa is in: they need massive injections of talent. Gregory would be a great fit for their 3 front, especially with LeBeau now helping to run it. They could use a QB if they’re not sold on Mettenberger. They seem like a team less likely to trade down than anyone in the top 5: four quarters carries less value for them than a dollar.

Jacksonville Jaguars

1st: Kevin White, WR WVU

2nd: La’el Collins, OT LSU

3rd: Ron Darby, CB FSU

4th: Grady Jarrett, DT Clemson

Jacksonville likes Blake Bortles, but they think that his failures spring from two issues out of his control: 1-their offensive line couldn’t block(71 sacks given up) and 2-his WRs were horrible. The best value for them is to take White or Cooper at three, and take the best RT available at 35. This draft would fulfill this goal and give them a functional player at both CB and DT to put into the mix immediately.

Oakland Raiders

1st: Andrus Peat, OT Stanford

2nd: Melvin Gordon, RB Wisconsin

3rd: Grady Jarrett, DT Clemson

4th: Stefon Diggs, WR UMD

Time to look into the funniest 15 minutes of any first round: the Oakland Raiders. “Just win baby” has been replaced by “Just make no sense baby.” So, let's attempt to inject some sanity into this franchise. For all the talk of Leonard Williams, Amari Cooper or Randy Gregory, none of them would help them as much as Andrus Peat. While Carr didn’t take many sacks in 2014, he was one of the leaders in the league in getting hurried. Which led to a lot of zero yard passing plays. As for the rest of the picks, this is about getting them guys to throw into the rotations with an expectation of them taking over starting spots by year two.
