Just before the NFL combine in Indianapolis, the Cleveland Browns announced they would be introducing a new logo the last week of February. Well, the logo has been released and they failed miserably.

Per the Browns website, the updated helmet logo is reflective of today's modern Cleveland - the design honors the past while evolving into the future. The iconic brown and white stripes stand tall over the orange helmet - a new orange color that matches the passion of the Dawg Pound. The new brown facemask represents the strength and toughness of Cleveland.

Take a look at the following photo and ask yourself if you would be happy with the "new logo".

So it remains that the Browns will be the only team in the NFL that uses their helmet as their main logo. Apparently when the team was sold to the current ownership, one of the conditions of the sale was to keep the helmet logo less. The team plans to "move the uniform farther ahead than the logo" during an April 14 unveiling at the Cleveland Convention Center. We can only hope their new uniforms will be an upgrade over their current ones.
