The Jacksonville Jaguars needed to bolster their offensive line and even though they didn't sign a flashy player, they have reached an agreement with one of the most dependable linemen on the free agent market.

According to several reports, the Jaguars have landed former Oakland Raiders' center Stefen Wisniewski on a one-year deal worth $2.5 million and even though he might not be a household name, he's certainly an upgrade over what the team had on the roster.

Jacksonville needed to fill the void left by Brad Meester and the arrival of the four-year pro will certainly help in that department. Wisniewski is durable as they come - he started 61 of a possible 64 games in his four-year tenure with the Raiders - and he also offers positional versatility as he's equally adept to play both as a center and as a guard.

The Jaguars have struggled mightily in recent years but the offense showed some promise last year under the leadership of Blake Bortles. The arrival of Julius Thomas gives them a legit threat on the passing game and Wisniewski will shore things up in terms of protection. There could be a transition period and it remains to be seen where Gus Bradley will use him, but he's likely to be the starting center in a team that's looking to make noise in the AFC South this upcoming year.
