It certainly wasn't a game that the Buffalo Bills had much to brag about but it was a win nonetheless. The Bills managed to squeeze out a 14 -13 victory against the Tennessee Titans despite a slow start and ugly game overall.

The first quarter was almost all about the Titans. The time of possession was a lop-sided roughly two minutes of time for the Bills offense and 15 minutes for the Titans. Tyrod Taylor was 0 - 4 and the Bills failed to get a first down in the first quarter.

The Titans began the second quarter with a 21-yard field goal making the score  0 - 3. The score remained that way into the half with the Bills adding little to no offensives yards in the quarter.

It wasn't until the third quarter either team scored again. The Titans added a touchdown with less than seven minutes left when Tennessee running back Antonio Andrews ran it in for a one yard touchdown. The extra point was good widening the Titans lead to 0 - 10.

Tyrod Taylor took control on the Bills next series basically handling the offense literally by himself. Taylor capped off the 9 play drive with a 22-yard run into the endzone for the touchdown. Dan Carpenter's extra point brought the Bills within 3.

Tennessee added another field goal in the fourth increasing their lead to 10 - 13.  Buffalo got the ball back with less than 10 minutes left in the game.  The Bills were facing a 3rd and 23 when Tyrod Taylor made a zigzag run up the field for 24 yards and the first down.  Then on a 2nd and 9 Taylor threw a 46-yard pass to wide receiver Chris Hogan. The next play Chris Hogan, yes Chris Hogan, threw a short pass to Tyrod Taylor to put them closer to the end zone. Taylor, back in the shotgun, then threw a 2 yard touchdown pass to Hogan.  The extra point was good and the Bills had their first lead of the game 14 - 13.

The Titans got the ball back with about 5 minutes left.  That series ended in a Tennessee punt. The Bills got the ball back but failed to convert and they too were forced to punt. Tennessee again had another chance to win the game but the Bills defense came alive and Marcel Dareus put pressure on Marcus Mariota which lead to a Stephon Gilmore interception. It sealed the deal for the Bills and they improved to 3 -2 and the Titans fall to 1 - 3.
