Post-Game: The Ducks had a very good performance and as expected, their dinamic duo came through when the team needed it the most. Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry and a SH Goal from Andrew Cogliano led the Ducks and while the Stars had two goals - including a late-one from Ryan Garbutt in the third - they fell short from the second consecutive game. The series will continue on Monday when the Stars will host the Ducks on the third game of the series at the American Airlines Center.

3º Period, Final: The Anaheim Ducks hold on and win the second game of the series!! The Ducks now have a 2-0 lead over the Dallas Stars and things are looking up for the top-seeded team in the Western Conference.

3º Period, 19.1: Ryan Getzlaf throws it away. Faceoff near Anaheim's goal and Dallas has the extra-attacker out for the final seconds!

3º Period, 01:00: Getzlaf comes back and now the game is 6-on-5!

3º Period, 01:27: Andersen stops a shot from Trevor Daley! The Stars will have a 6-on-4 situation as Kari Lehtonen is pulled off the net.

3º Period, 01:59: The Stars are putting pressure but the Ducks are defending tightly!

3º Period, 03:00: Ryan Getzlaf gets called for a tripping! The Stars will have another PP with only three minutes left on the clock.

3º Period, 04:39: Andersen makes a clutch stop!! The Ducks' goaltender stop a bomb from close range to maintain the Ducks' lead with less than five minutes left on the clock.

3º Period, 05:06: Dallas had the edge when it comes to shooting so far in the third: 8-2 for the Stars.

3º Period, 05:30: The strategy is quite clear on both sides: the Ducks are holding on to their lead and the Stars are pushing forward. Let's see which one prevails!

3º Period, 07:15: The Stars have outshot the Ducks 29-19. That's a fair proof that the offensive push made by the Stars late in the game!

3º Period, 8:00: Garbutt's goal completely shifted momentum! The Stars are now applying heavy pressure against the Ducks' goal and the tying goal could on the way if things doesn't change soon for Anaheim!

3º Period, 10:02: Ryan Garbutt scores from close range! The Stars have cut the deficit in half and now there's only a one-goal lead for the Ducks with 10 minutes left to be played!

3º Period, 11:10: Valeri Nichushkin had a great chance but the shot goes wide! The Stars are slowly taking control of the game in the third period.

3º Period, 12:24: Icing call against the Ducks. The Stars will have a faceoff near Anaheim's goal and it seems like a great chance to build some offensive momentum.

3º Period, 13:10: Things aren't looking good for the Stars right now. The team is not generating offense, the defense looks suspect and the Ducks have been taking control of the game since the second period.

3º Period, 14:10: The penalty is over, the Stars didn't generate shots on goal and the Ducks now have a two-goal lead.

3º Period, 14:51: SH goal for the Ducks! Andrew Cogliano takes advantage of some sloppy play from the Stars on their defensive end and now the Ducks have a two-goal lead!

3º Period, 15:20: Despite the fact that the Stars are maintaining the puck inside the Ducks' zone, most of their shots are coming near the blueline. That's not good for the Stars.

3º Period, 16:20: Corey Perry goes back to the box with a Delay of Game call. The Stars go on the powerplay for the fifth time tonight.

3º Period, 16:24: The Stars maintain the puck near the Ducks' goal but they aren't accurate on their shooting so far. Strong job by Anaheim's defensive corp to protect the lead!

3º Period, 17:30: Kari Lehtonen almost gets himself into trouble! The Ducks are clearly trying to protect their lead but they can also be dangerous if the Stars gave too much space near their blue-line.

3º Period, 18:50: The Stars are putting some heavy pressure on Anaheim's goal early in the period. The Ducks defense has been stellar tying up both Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn though.

3º Period, 20:00: The Ducks won the opening faceoff and the third period goes underway!

2º Period, End: The Ducks end the second period with a one-goal lead!! Anaheim managed to put themselves ahead thanks to a great goal from Corey Perry and their lead is deserved. Anaheim played a better attacking hockey during the second 20-minute-span but they were also favoured by Dallas' poor play. The Stars didn't get anything going in the second period and they clearly need to improve if they want to take anything out from this game!

2º Period, 00:26: A huge scramble near Anaheim's goal but the Ducks save from that one. Andersen has been great so far!!

2º Period, 01:07: Tyler Seguin looks visibly frustrated. He needs to pick it up before it's too late!

2º Period, 02:01: Saku Koivu goes to the box for a hooking call. The Stars will have another PP chance tonight where they've gone 1-for-3 so far.

2º Period, 02:50: The Stars look clueless in this second period. They haven't been able to muster anything on offense and the Ducks' lead is well-deserved at this point.

2º Period, 03:45: Corey Perry rifles one past Kari Lehtonen and the Ducks are on the lead!! Perry had a huge opportunity, shot from the slot and blasted one past Lehtonen to put Anaheim on the lead.

2º Period, 04:10: The Stars survived a strong shift by Anaheim's offense and they continue to struggle on the offense. The intensity is picking up in this second period!

2º Period, 06:00: What a stop by Kari Lehtonen! Teemu Selanne shots but the Finnish stops it with his glove to maintain the 1-1 tie! The Ducks have applied heavy pressure on Dallas this second period but Lehtonen has been simply magnificent.

2º Period, 07:40: Tyler Seguin, Corey Perry and Jamie Benn have all been non-factors tonight on offense. The star players need to appear to lead their teams to victory!

2º Period, 09:00: There have been eight shots combined in this second period. It's the best statement to show how close thinigs have been but Anaheim looks better in recent minutes.

2º Period, 10:03: Both Lehtonen and Andersen have been great tonight stopping shots. The goaltenders are on the spotlight in what has been a very close game so far.

2º Period, 10:30: Ryan Getzlaf returns to the ice and the game remains tied at one goal apiece after Dallas' third PP.

2º Period, 11:29: Nothing has gone Dallas' way in the second period. Their shooting has been very inaccurate and they haven't done anything on the PP yet since Anaheim has been rock solid on defense.

2º Period, 12:30: Ryan Getzlaf gets a call for an interference. The Stars will go on their third PP of the night.

2º Period, 12:50: Jordie Benn moved forward with the puck through the right wing but his cross found Andersen. Faceoff for the Stars near Anaheim's goal.

2º Period, 13:20: Jordie Benn has been instrumental for Dallas in this second period so far. Putting pressure on defense, blocking shots and trying to push the team forward as Anaheim looks more dangerous than before.

2º Period, 14:20: Dallas seems unable to move forward as their passing seems quite sloppy in this second period. The Ducks are in control of the neutral zone and that should allow them to generate chances sooner than later.

2º Period, 15:45: Intensity is surely not lacking in this second period. There haven't been many shots on goal yet but both teams are putting pressure and hitting the boards consistently.

2º Period, 17:20: The Stars seem unable to get the puck and the Ducks are putting pressure but they aren't getting further than the neutral zone so far.

2º Period, 19:00: Goligoski returns to the ice and the Stars killed their second PP tonight. 2-for-2 for Dallas so far.

2º Period, 20:00: The Ducks win the opening faceoff and they start the second period on the PP.

First Intermission: This has been a very solid performance by the Stars, playing a speedy game and off-setting the Ducks' defense. Neither Tyler Seguin nor Jamie Benn have appeared on their full dimension and Dallas needs them if they want to succeed. As for the Ducks, Ryan Getzlaf appeared right when his team needed him the most but they have clearly not been as sharp as they were on Game one. It has been a thrilling game so far!

1º Period, End: The first period ends tied 1-1!! The Stars had more shots and created more chances early on, getting an early lead thanks to a PP goal from Alex Chiasson. However, the Ducks tied the contest with less than three minutes on the first period after a magnificent skill move from Ryan Getzlaf. Dallas had more shots, Anaheim grew as the game advanced and the first 20 minutes finished with one goal apiece!

1º Period, 01:09: Not many chances for the Stars and Alex Goligoski is called for an interference. The Stars' PP ends with a 1-1 score.

1º Period, 02:18: Saku Koivu goes to the box after cross-checking a rival. Second PP of the game for the Stars.

1º Period, 02:46: Ryan Getzlaf ties the game!! The Ducks even things up thanks to their leading scorer in the regular season, who past a shot over Lehtonen with a great skill move!

1º Period, 03:13: Daley comes back to the ice as Dallas kills their second PP of the night.

1º Period, 03:45: Once again, the Ducks look helpless on the powerplay. They haven't generated anything that could even resemble a scoring chance.

1º Period, 05:13: Trevor Daley goes to the penalty box for roughing. The Ducks will have their second PP this period.

1º Period, 05:13: A scramble near Dallas' goal ends up with Trevor Daley and Corey Perry going at it! The game takes a delay as the Ducks put some heavy pressure over Kari Lehtonen.

1º Period, 06:10: Kari Lehtonen has been great so far! The Stars' goaltender has been amazing stopping everything that has gone his way during the first period.

1º Period, 07:20: The Ducks are having lots of troubles to cope with the Stars' speed early in this first period, especially on the defensive end.

1º Period, 08:24: A lot of physicality between both teams early on!! It wouldn't be strange to see a fight before the end of the first period.

1º Period, 09:00: Both teams are changing shifts and there aren't many plays near the goal right now. The Stars are still ahead 1-0 and have outshot the Ducks 7-2.

1º Period, 11:00: Teemu Selanne with a huge shot and Kari Lehtonen stops it!

1º Period, 11:20: Jamie Benn and Alex Goligoski assisted on Chiasson's goal.

1º Period, 12:20: Alex Chiasson nettes one past Andersen!! And just like that, the Stars are ahead early in the first period.

1º Period, 12:35: Corey Perry goes into the box for slashing against Jamie Benn. Two-minute PP for the Stars.

1º Period, 13:05: The Stars have outshot the Ducks five to one so far. Good start from Lindy Ruff's side, moving the puck forward with ease.

1º Period, 13:30: The Stars have had some chances near the slot but they have been quite inaccurate so far with their shooting. Andersen hasn't been very busy but he has responded on every chance so far.

1º Period: 14:50: Alex Chiasson had a great chance and only seconds later, the Ducks managed to create a scoring chance of their way. Still scoreless after five minutes of action.

1º Period, 16:02: Garbutt comes off the box and both sides are at even strength.

1º Period, 16:20: Great job by Dallas on the PK so far, not giving the Ducks any kind of space near the goal.

1º Period, 18:02: The first penalty appears and it's against the Stars! After both teams traded scoring chances, Ryan Garbutt will go into the box. First PP for the Ducks tonight.

1º Period, 18:41: Huge shot from Cody Eakin from the slot but Andersen stops it with his glove!

1º Period, 19:17: The Ducks are putting early pressure and they're moving the puck on the flanks. Not many shots though.

1º Period, 20:00: The Stars win the opening faceoff and the game is underway!

Pre-game: The National Anthem is underway at the Honda Center.

Pre-game: The stadium is completely fill out for this upcoming playoff matchup! The fans are all set, the teams are close to enter the ice and we're all ready to get the game underway at the Honda Center!

Pre-game: Kari Lehtonen will start between the pipes for the Stars and he's surely looking to rebound after allowing four goals in the first game of the series. The Ducks, on the other hand, started Frederik Andersen on Wednesday and he seems to ready to go out again tonight.

Pre-game: The Ducks, on the other hand, have one of the most dangerous forwards in the game in Corey Perry, who netted 43 goals and 82 points during the regular season. They will also have Ryan Getzlaf for tonight’s contest and that offensive duo – along with the likes of Cam Fowler and Hampus Lindholm on defense and rookie Frederik Andersen between the pipes – expects to give Anaheim a two-game lead once everything is said and done.

Pre-game: Much of Dallas’ hopes to get far in the postseason rely on the shoulders of Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn. The young Canadian duo carried the team’s offense during the regular season – Seguin finished with 84 points while Benn added 79 – and both managed to score in the first game of the series. They are the future of the franchise and seeing them produce now will surely boost the rest of the team.

Pre-game: As for the Stars, their road was a bit more complicated. They only secured their postseason berth in the final week of the season and while they entered the playoffs as the eighth seed, there are plenty of experts that consider they have what it takes to upset the Ducks in what would surely be a shocking result.

Pre-game: The Ducks clearly carry some momentum going into the playoffs and they are a heavy favorite to lift the Cup once it’s all said and done. They surely did a great job in the regular season, winning the Pacific Division and finishing with the best record in the entire Western Conference ahead of teams like the St. Louis Blues, the Colorado Avalanche and the reigning Stanley Cup champions Chicago Blackhawks.

Pre-game: The atmosphere is completely crazy at the Honda Center for this second game of the Western Conference's Opening Round of the playoffs. The fans are eager to see the puck drop as the Stars and the Ducks are getting closer to start the contest.

Pre-game: We are almost one hour away to see the start of the game but there’s plenty to be analyzed prior to the opening faceoff. My name is Juan Pablo Aravena and I will be taking you the live action of the Stanley Cup Playoffs where the Anaheim Ducks and the Dallas Stars will collide for their second game of the first round series.
