Both the Edmonton Oilers and Philadelphia Flyers have not had the start to the season they'd hoped to have.

Edmonton is currently the worst team in the league, with only one point in five games and still searching for their first win of the season. The Flyers aren't doing much better - currently sitting seventh place in the Metropolitan Division - and up until last weekend had not had a regulation win themselves.

According to Philaelphia-based blog Broken Bell Sports, the Oilers and Flyers have once again opened up trade discussions in an attempt to improve their respective teams.

The Oilers have asked for both Luke Schenn and Brayden Schenn, and depending on the return, fan favorite Sean Couturier could be part of a potential deal as well.

As far as potential names coming to Philadelphia, names like Jeff Petry, David Perron, and Jordan Eberle have all been discussed.

Both Edmonton and Philadelphia have discussed many potential deals over the last two seasons - none of which have yet to pan out. That could quickly change, however, if the Oilers don't start winning some hockey games.

The Oilers are have always had an interest in the Schenn brothers, and this isn't the first time they've tried to snatch them both away from the Flyers. They had discusions with the Flyers over the summer about the two siblings but could not come to an agreement that pleased both sides.

As far as the Flyers are concerned, Jeff Petry would be a welcomed addition to their atrocious defense, and Jordan Eberle and/or David Perron would certainly look nice on just about any line, especially with Giroux and Voracek.

With mounting pressure and frustration from both the fans and management of both clubs, this could finally be the year that we see such a deal go down. With every loss, a trade becomes more and more likely.
