The TUDOR United SportsCar Championship returns this weekend for the Mobil 1 SportsCar Grand Prix at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. A total of 24 entrants are on the list, with just a few changes from the last event and TBA’s.

Prototype

The Prototype class will be in full force with 10 entrants. No major changes are expected from last round at Watkins Glen, although it is currently unclear what powerplant Mazda Motorsports will choose for their No. 07 and No. 70 cars after withdrawing a car for the latest rounds at Detroit and Watkins Glen. It looks like the No. 70 car, to be driven by Tristan Nunez and Jonathan Bomarito, will be running under gasoline power but it is uncertain whether the No. 07 car, driven by Tom Long and Joel Miller, will be running under gasoline or diesel power.

As of now, drivers for the No. 7 Starworks Motorsport car are unannounced.

In addition, the car that won this race last year, the No. 42 Morgan Nissan of OAK Racing, is absent this year. Gustavo Yacaman and Olivier Pla dominated the race in the P2-style car last year.

Prototype Challenge

There are seven entries in the Prototype Challenge class for this weekend. Absent at Watkins Glen, Mirco Schultis is set to re-join Renger van der Zande in the No. 8 Starworks Motorsport entry. Drivers for the No. 16 BAR1 Motorsports car and the second driver for the No. 38 Performance Tech Motorsports car are still TBA at this time.

GTLM

In the GT Le Mans field, eight entrants round up the field. There are no changes from the lineup run at Watkins Glen; click here for the entry list notes for that race for reference.

The fourth category, GT Daytona, will not be in action this weekend.
