It is no secret that Orlando City Soccer Club is beginning to create a team that can immediately compete in Major League Soccer next season. Ricardo Kàka will arrive in January after a loan to São Paulo. Kàka's style of play fits perfectly into Coach Adrian Heath's system and his talents will be showcased alongside current OCSC players Kevin Molino, Yordany Alverez, Darwin Cerén, Tommy Redding and Tyler Turner; who are all signed to MLS contracts. If Robinho gets away from the sights of OCSC in the next few days, there's a striker that will be welcomed back with open arms to OCSC. Dom Dwyer.

Most believe that Dom Dwyer has no chance in bringing his goal scoring capabilities to Orlando. However, Dwyer returning to Orlando City, where he helped OCSC win the USL Pro Championship in 2013 with 4 goals in the match, is not entirely out of the question.

Dwyer was loaned to OCSC in 2013 to sharpen his game bit, with a priority on getting minutes on the pitch. While the USL Pro lags behind the MLS in talent, Dwyer received the minutes that he needed to prove to Sporting Kansas City that he had the ability to succeed in MLS. Dwyer scored 15 goals in 13 appearance for OCSC and was quickly called back up to Sporting.

At the time, everyone in Orlando and USL Pro knew that Dwyer was a cut above and had something to prove. It was during his loan stint that OCSC and the supporters of Orlando City came to adore his ability to score goals. But what makes Dwyer a special player is his hard work off the ball. He finds the space needed to be in a position to put the ball in the back of the net.

Every MLS club would love to have Dwyer in their XI. He simply scores when he wants. Dwyer has clearly stated that he wants to play at the highest level in Europe. He would love to have an opportunity as well to play for England's National Team or even as a member of the United States Men’s National Team, with citizenship a possibility in 2017.

Dom Dwyer's performance this year going into the All-Star break is Designated Player worthy. However, Sporting Kansas City already has three players marked as Designated Players; Matt Besler, Graham Zusi and Claudio Bieler. In order for Dwyer to earn a DP position, Sporting would have to make some moves. This is where Orlando City Soccer Club comes into the picture. As long as he is not sold to a European team by SKC.

Dwyer is familiar with OCSC, and what they have to offer. Will OCSC be in a position to make Dwyer a DP? If the Robinho negotiations fall apart, OCSC will make a strong push for Dwyer. Potentially, Orlando could still aggressively pursue Dwyer if Robinho is signed, but the potential as a DP decreased significantly.

By offering Dwyer a DP position, he would be in a great situation to strengthen his training, his game and his leadership abilities to a club that is ready to compete. Locking Dwyer up for a few years will also allow Dwyer the opportunity to prove to Jurgen Klinsmann his worth for the USMNT, once his citizenship papers are finalized. OCSC is a perfect fit for one of the best in the MLS.
