New York Red Bulls are set to take on FC Dallas in an away game on Friday evening, and boy will this be a doozy. Both teams are riding major hot streaks and can be found atop or near the top of the league table for MLS.

NYRB are coming off a historic win in the first ever Hudson River Derby at New York City FC. Bradley Wright-Phillips earned MLS Player of the Week honors in that match, as he scored a brace to drive Red Bulls to victory despite being down to 10 men. That victory helped NYRB rise to third in the Eastern Conference with 16 points in 9 matches.

Wright-Phillips has been monumental for Red Bulls over his time with the team, as his pair of goals last Sunday put him fifth on New York's all time scoring list with 33 goals. BWP also has recorded totals of 5 shots in net and 3 shot assists over (9 games in) the 2015 season.

FC Dallas are on a four-game tear, and now find themselves atop the Western Conference with 20 points in 10 appearances. Vancouver Whitecaps FC also have 20 points, but they have participated in one more league match thus far. 10 points in their last 4 games, not too shabby.

The last match for Dallas came against LA Galaxy, as FCD defeated the struggling Galaxy, 2-1. Midfielder Mauro Diaz assisted both goals for Dallas in the big win for his club, and has been an outstanding presence on the pitch for FC Dallas all year. Diaz has scored twice and racked up 4 assists in his 6 appearances to start the 2015 campaign.

Fabian Castillo, Dallas's winger, has also been causing havoc for opponents this season. Castillo struck three shots, two on goal, in the home victory. He has been a constant force on the attack for Dallas, and that has showed with his elite skill shown on the dribble and his incredible numbers through all 10 games for Dallas. Castillo currently has put up 4 goals and 5 assists in 2015 to lead FC Dallas.

In 2014, these two sides met on May 4th of 2014, and that game was intense throughout the full 90 minutes. Though scoreless for the entirety of the match past half time and until 71', the two clubs were even as could be, nobody able to take an advantage. But then came the Red Bulls attack in 71'. Soccer legend Thierry Henry picked up a huge assist on an NYRB counter attack to none other than Bradley Wright-Phillips for the game winner and the loan score of the match. To be fair to Dallas though, Je-Vaughn Watson was given the red card and therefore ejected, not even through ten minutes of the match.

This match is sure to end in a fascinating output between two of Major League Soccer's most prestigious clubs, with neither side to be given a clear edge. Who will win? You'll have to find out.

The match will take place at 6 PM Eastern Time on Friday Night, May 15 at Toyota Stadium in Dallas, Texas. Tune in for what is certain to end in a great result.
