The Los Angeles Galaxy ride a league-best nine-game winning streak to Canada as they take on the Montreal Impact at the Montreal Olympic Stadium on Saturday night.

Form

Los Angeles is on the league's longest undefeated streak at the moment. They have not dropped more than two points in nine matches. The thing that has plagued the Galaxy though is that they have drawn more than have won.

In their last match, against San Jose, they looked lethargic. This was a worrying sign as the Galaxy are going to be missing Gyasi Zardes, Baggio Husidic and Robbie Keane for several weeks. How is this going to hurt LA? Where are the goals going to come from? These are all questions that needs to get answered.

Montreal is also in decent form as of late too. Unfortunately for them, they have lost two of their last six matches. In their other four matches, the Impact have come up with draws.

The Impacts last match ended in defeat. They lost to Orlando City by a score of 2-1. Ignacio Piatti scored in the fourth minute and the visitors looked as if they were going to cruise. But then Cyle Larin scored twice to seal three points.

Key Players

With the European Championships, Copa América and friendlies coming up, the Galaxy will be without Robbie Keane, Gyasi Zardes and Baggio Husidic for a number of weeks. But with various injuries occurring throughout the season, Bruce Arena has had to juggle line-ups seemingly every week.

One key constant through this stretch of the season, because he declined a call-up to Mexico, will be Giovani dos Santos. Since his return to the starting lineup from injury, dos Santos has been in fine form. When he is clicking in the final third of the pitch, the rest of the attack runs smoothly.

Since coming into the league, Didier Drogba has been one of the most prolific strikers in the league. He will certainly be the one to look out for for Montreal.

Drogba holds the ball up well when facing defenders and has the technique to turn and get into space. Once he is in behind the defense, Drogba can shoot from anywhere and find the back of the net. The Galaxy are going to have to focus on him if they want to stay within touching distance.

Prediction

Based on the Galaxy’s road form, this match will more than likely end in a draw. They will be missing several key players, as will Montreal, and the scoring is going to be a minimum.
