It has been rumored and confirmed for weeks and now it is finally upon the Impact Zone. The Global Force Wrestling takeover angle is now into play. On last week's episode of Impact it was revealed that Karen Jarrett was behind the attacks on Bully Ray and Drew Galloway and Jeff Jarrett sided with his wife to begin the assault. The episode ended with the GFW wrestlers taking out Galloway, Robbie E and Rockstar Spud and last night's episode started with in a similar fashion. This time Jeff had no issue declaring the takeover is here and the opening segment ended with Chris Mordetzky calling out any TNA wrestler from the locker room which prompts Bobby Lashley to answer the call.

In the match between Mordetzky and Lashley it was fairly one sided with Bobby getting the upper hand. Bobby received most of the spots to show his dominance. Chris tried to attempt the Mordetsky lock but the huge arms of Lashley would not allow him. After that Lashley hit him with the spear and before he could pin Chris, Bobby was attacked by the GFW roster. The Wolves came out to help but the numbers game took over. Fitting the Wolves would come out as Karen would bring the Feast or Fired brief case out that contained the Tag Team titles match and she remarked how it was given to her by her friend Magnus (who we all know is now working for GFW). Clearly hints like these are revealing which wrestlers have been signed by Jarrett as the takeover angle will surely include wrestlers jumping ship. Long time referee Earl Hebner would not cash in the title challenge and faced off with Jeff. Still Trevor Lee and Bryan Meyers who have already lost to the Wolves were given the chance to cash in on the downed tag team champs.

In the impromptu battle the strong babyfaces in the Wolves were given every opportunity to win the match. After staving off a few near pinfalls Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards had Lee and Meyers in double submissions but that was thwarted by interference from the GFW roster along the outside. Meyers went to hit Richards with a cane but missed but as the referee was distracted Trevor Lee hit Eddie with the briefcase to steal the Tag Team titles from The Wolves.

Bobby Roode cut a promo explaining his distaste for TNA and GFW and is hell bent on making an example out of P.J. Black in the King of The Mountain championship. Which begs the question how can you have a single match for the King of The Mountain Championship without a King of The Mountain Match? After the The Pope and Josh Matthews promoted the upcoming dates on the road to Bound For Glory we got a promo from EC3 talking about his match later that night with Matt Hardy. A match that carried the stipulation that if Matt loses his brother Jeff would become EC3’s personal assistant.

In the King of The Mountain championship match which starts off with Josh Matthews explaining why it’s ok for the King of The Mountain to be defended at anytime (which disregards what I said earlier). Roode starts off with the momentum in this match but P.J. grabs some offense making this bout a lot closer than the first one of the evening. Roode deals with the high flying attempts of Black and locks in a crossface to tap out the GFW star. Sonjay Dutt interferes but is taken care of outside of the ring by Drew Galloway. This allows Roode to catch Black in the air and hit him with a Roode bomb to win the King of The Mountain title.

Trevor Lee , Bryan Meyers and others head to the ring to attack Bobby who escapes cleanly. This brings Jeff and crew back in for now the third time telling Dixie Carter that he is taking back what she stole from him. With GFW by his side Dixie came out to announce that she wants a match for complete ownership of the the company. Her team will consist of Drew Galloway, The Wolves and Bobby Lashley. The match was later announced that it will happen at Lethal Lockdown in two weeks.

Kenny King shows up out of no where and proclaims he is ready to make a change. In a complete babyface turn he announces he wants to start the return of the open fight night and calls out anyone from the locker room. Another storyline completely disregarding the takeover. As Bram, a man who is having some current trouble with the law decides to take on this challenge. Bram and King quickly mix it up but the fight quickly goes in the english man’s direction as he dismantles King for the quick finish.

We soon see Velvet Sky in the ring as she looks for revenge on Taryn Terrell. Taryn appears on the tron and brings out the the Dollhouse with their newest member Rebel. Velvet says they didn’t bring enough people and attacks Marti, Rebel and Jade. When the dollhouse gets the upper hand Madison Rayne and Angelina Love come out and reunites the newer and edgier Beautiful People. Looks like TNA is trying to capitalize on the current attention to women’s wrestling and hoping the resurgence of one of the more popular female stables will be the answer.

The main event for this episode is a rematch for the TNA Championship between EC3 and Matt Hardy. This time no metal is involved but the match is not without a caveat. If Matt Hardy is to lose this match then Jeff Hardy becomes EC3’s personal assistant. Similar to the first time these two met the match goes back and forth with Hardy receiving many spots. We got an old school Hardy yell followed by an elbow drop when Matt had the most momentum. It’s worth mentioning that Josh Matthews did note that EC3 has been vocal about the takeover by GFW but not displaying his angst on the show is still hurting the impact (pun intended) of this hostile kidnapping. If your champion and top guy doesn’t acknowledge it who the hell cares then?

The match continued with a referee spot as Brian Hebner gets ran into by Hardy and EC3 which allows Tyrus and EC3 to get an illegal shot in on Matt. This only results in near fall as hopefully the writers thought more than to end the match in such an old school fashion. Then there was a weird head but moment that also resulted in just a near fall. Tyrus tries to interfere again but he is met with a steel chair from Jeff. Obviously not paying attention to the spot moments before as they crash into the referee again which allows EC3 to kick Matt with the low blow EC3 hits the sunset flip and grabs the victory. EC3 calls Jeff Hardy into the ring to raise his hand which kicks off the personal assistant storyline. By now you may be thinking hmm this all sounds familiar. Well it should as it’s very keen to the Rockstar Spud story when he was attached to Ethan. From next week's preview it seems as if Jeff is going to make this a bumpy ride from the champion which ultimately sets up a title match for the two of them when his leg is completely healed.
