Tonight's Battleground PPV is set to to be a huge show with this being the final 'B' show that has cross branding, with the majority of the matches having potential huge draft implications. It is now being reported by PWInsider.com that several wrestlers are backstage that are not scheduled for appearances on the show which could allow for some huge surprises to take place.

Hype Bros

One wrestler that is reportedly backstage tonight is Mojo Rawley. The former NXT star was one of the surprise picks from the developmental system during SmackDown's draft and is now on the blue brand permanently. His name was not one that fans expected to hear involved in the draft but once he was announced most people expected he would be joining his former partner, Zack Ryder.

Tonight Ryder is set to take on Rusev in a match for the United States Championship and the champion has his fiance, Lana by his side meaning the numbers game is against Ryder. With Rawley backstage, could he be set to make his debut on the main roster to even the numbers game by appearing by Ryder's side?

Mystery partner

One of the main talking points heading into the show tonight is who is going to be the tag team partner for Sasha Banks as she faces Charlotte and Dana Brooke. The one name everyone wants to see is NXT star, Bayley, especially after she wasn't involved in the draft.

Well, according to the report the former NXT Women's Champion is backstage tonight at Battleground, sparking the speculation that she will make her main roster debut as Banks' partner. The Boss has claimed that Bayley will not be her partner and speculating it will be a name that nobody has been guessing, but that could just be a way to swerve the fans as a surprise from Bayley would certainly be a major moment.

One name that isn't backstage (as of writing) is Finn Balor. The Demon was drafted to Raw this week and there is potential for him to debut and create the Balor Club, but it seems that will not be happening, something that is understandable if Bayley is debuting as WWE won't want to give too much on one show.
