It’s time for second annual WWE Battleground ppv! Let’s be honest, Last year’s event wasn’t exactly the greatest ppv of all time. Actually, to put it bluntly it stunk. The card was uninspired. The show’s overall crappiness was punctuated with a no contest finish to the much-anticipated Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton match. This year's card looks way more promising. Who will win? Who will lose? Will this writer finally predict every match correctly? Stay tuned…

Cameron vs. Naomi (Kickoff Match)

So we are finally going to get the Cameron vs. Naomi match that we were waiting for… Said no one ever. Naomi is good. Scratch that, she is really, really good. Cameron still has a ways to go but lets not give up hope on her just yet. Splitting these two up makes no sense. If Creative is smart, they will but Cameron with Summer Rae and Layla to hide some of her deficiencies while she trains. Naomi should be in the title match tonight, but maybe after she is done with Cameron she will be back in title contention.

And the Winner is…

Cameron. Before you throw your laptop across the room you have to listen to reason on this one. Even money says Creative wants this feud to continue. If that’s the case Cameron has to go over. How will it happen? Who knows? It will probably be a cheap fluky ending.

Divas Champion AJ Lee vs. Paige

Paige vs. AJ part three… I guess you could say this is the rubber match between the two (each gaining one victory against each other). It would be difficult to call this a feud per se, but it has been a somewhat interesting series of short matches.  If they could just give these two some actual time develop and tell a story this could have led to a lengthy and highly entertaining feud between the two. To bad the WWE has shown no real interest in pushing anyone in the Divas division.

And the winner is:

AJ. It is hard to imagine at this point they would take the belt off of her so soon after just giving it back to her. AJ wins via the Black Widow. Paige will tap faster then Superman on speed.

Intercontinental Championship Battleground Battle Royal

The WWE loves battle royals. There are many viable options in this match. The obvious answer here would be Cesaro. No one in this match is hotter than he is at this point. Heck, he probably is the best option to win. The crowd would go nuts. And that is exactly why he isn’t going to win.  For are next IC champion we need someone that we can trust. Someone that we can… that we can…

(And the winner is)

…Bolieve in! Bo Dallas will be the new Intercontinental champion. Just the thought of Bo running around with the IC title, Tebowing and giving inspirational speeches give me chills. Has this writer become a Boliever? It’s hard not to be at this point. Bo Dallas grows on you like a fungus. A jogging, smiling fungus.

WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos vs. The Wyatt Family (2-out-of-3 Falls Match)

Who knew looking the Usos and the Wyatts would be so fun to look. There isn’t much more that can be said about this feud, other than the fact that it has been awesome. It should culminate in an epic 2-out-of-3 falls match. The feud ending this way is very 80’s of the WWE. It’s hard not to appreciate that.

And the winner is:

The Wyatt Family. There is no way the Usos escape with the titles once again. First fall to the Usos via the super kick/splash combo. Next two falls are a power bomb and then spinning lariat by Harper.

Jack Swagger vs. Rusev

It’s great that Swagger is relevant again, but lets be real here for a sec…

Rusev wins. Period.

Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins

This match is going to be a fun one. Ambrose has been trying to get his hands on Rollins for a long time. Rollins in the ring with Ambrose will un-doubtable lead to fireworks in the squared circle. Let’s all cross our fingers and hope that this match leads to a series of matches between the two. Maybe it will culminate in a 2-out-of-3 falls match!

And the winner is:

Seth Rollins. He will find a way to come out on tope. An outside distraction will lead to a curb stomp by Rollins.

Side note: If Ambrose somehow wins this match look for Rollins to cash in MITB contract and leave the ppv as the new WWE champion.

Chris Jericho vs. Bray Wyatt

Rumor has it Jericho requested to work with Bray months ago and is finally getting his wish. A lot of things can be said about Jericho but his passion for elevating the younger stars is undeniable. This feud, if it is allowed to flourish, can make Bray Wyatt in a way that his feud with Cena never could. The difference between this feud and the Cena feud is Jericho doesn’t need to be protected in any way. It is often said that you don’t have to win to go over, but man does it help from time to time.

And the winner is:

Bray Wyatt. Make no mistake about it, Jericho is going to do his damnedest to put Bray over. The finish will be messy, but this will end with Sister Abigail.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Fatal 4-Way Match

This main event has this columnist torn. On paper this match should be very intriguing. The only problem is we all know were this is going. Reigns isn’t ready yet. Kane doesn’t need it. Orton is Orton. And Cena is Cena. There isn’t much this match other than the fact that we know whoever wins is going to get fed to Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam.

And the winner is:

John Cena. There is no way he doesn’t leave with the title. Even money says this match ends with Cena giving the Attitude Adjustment to Kane. That way Reigns is protected and Orton is still… well Orton.
