Manchester United have been a team who are well-known for its youth sides and even young players being given the opportunity in the first team.

With that reputation it is no surprise that, according to the Daily Mail, Manchester United are hoping to sign Ajax’s starlet Juan Familia-Castillo who is just 15.

Who is he?

Juan Familia-Castillo, who doesn’t turn 16 until January, is already Holland’s under-16 captain, where United have watched him against sides such as Belgium in recent months.

He plays regularly for Ajax’s under-17 side, usually playing either in the middle of the park or on the left, but often he utilises his roles into more attacking roles, especially since the youngster is seen as someone with an eye for goal and being a good passer of the ball.

Manchester United are hopeful that they will be able to bring him to Old Trafford, but there is no guess as to what Ajax will demand in return for the highly tipped youngster.

Growing Dutch ranks

With a Dutch manager in Louis van Gaal, slowly a Dutch buildup is occurring at Manchester United just like they already boast Juan Mata, David De Gea and Ander Herrera all from Spain who are firm friends, the Premier League side are building up a Dutch circle.

From the manager Louis van Gaal and former PSV winger Memphis Depay plus former Ajax midfielder Daley Blind, Old Trafford could be well suited for Familia-Castillo who will be able to rely on Blind and Memphis to make him feel more at home despite being away from home at such a young age, if United are able to secure his signature.

While he is not one for an immediate impact despite United’s current struggles, Manchester United are for sure planning for the future if they are able to secure the signing of Familia-Castillo.
