York City come off the back of a first win on the road going into this game - a positive 1-0 victory at Maidenhead will give The Minstermen confidence to go on and grind out a result against the former Premier League participants.

Oldham also travel to York with three points to build on, after Hallam Hope won it at the death for them against Aldershot. However, The Latics have the upper hand, having a two-day break, compared to City's one-day rest.

York City

From a York point of view, things aren't looking too good, with queues building for the medical room.

Left back Adam Crookes remains on the sidelines after 'rolling his ankle', whilst prolific goalscorer Lenell John-Lewis accompanies him with a hamstring injury.

Michael Duckworth is still a doubt on the opposite flank, with the right-back set to miss his fifth game, and winger Luke James in the same situation.

Oldham Athletic

New signing and Latics captain Liam Hogan has been ruled out of this one, after he fell victim to injury late on in Oldham's defeat at Southend - the defender looks to be out for the next couple of months.

Highly experienced forward Chris Porter is also injured, however with a potential injection to come, there may be some room for the 38-year-old in Monday's matchday squad.

Elsewhere in the Oldham camp, Francis Angol is sidelined with a knee injury, and Louis Maynard too, is set to miss this one.

  • Likely Lineups

York City

Ross, Fallowfield, Kouogun, Kerr, Sanders, Pybus, Dyson, Hancox, Kouhyar, Boden, Hurst

Oldham Athletic

Norman, McGahey, Clarke, Threlkeld, Stobbs, Mitchell, Tollitt, Sheron, Gardner, Hope, Fondop

  • Key Players

Mitch Hancox

A fans' favourite at York, Hancox is fairly versatile and can play at left-back or most efficiently, in midfield, which gives The Minstermen squad depth in both positions.

The City vice-captain also works well with manager John Askey, having played under him previously at Macclesfield. Since signing last season, Hancox has impressively netted a brilliant twelve times, eight of those coming in a brace.

The 28-year-old's great goalscoring mentality will be a huge advantage for the hosts, and could well make the difference against Oldham, still waiting to open his account for the current campaign.

Ben Tollitt

Winger Tollitt only joined Oldham during the summer break, and has settled in really well, keeping up a record of two goals in his first four games.

Many would have expected less from the 27-year-old, him having signed from National League North outfit Fylde, but he has climbed above his expectations and after four games, could already be one of the best at the club.

The former-Tranmere flanker hopes to replicate past performances and show his quality in the historic City of York this Monday.
