Carrow Road will play host to what could be a very entertaining Championship fixture between two sides at completely different ends of the league table. A fixture that has had some brilliant individual moments and memories from across the decades.

Norwich City will go into the match in second place, after getting their slow start back on track. The Cannaries have won their last four straight league matches and will be heavily favourite to make it five on the bounce when Mark Robins' side come calling.

As for Coventry City, they sit bottom of the table, picking up just one point from their first four league games. They have lost four straight matches in all competitions conceding eleven goals in the process and need a confidence booster from somewhere.

  • Team news

Norwich

Going into Saturday's match, Dean Smith's side are currently undergoing a minor injury crisis, with several key players on the sidelines. This includes former Coventry full-back Sam McCallum who is out following surgery.

Elsewhere, with Giannoulis, Hayden, Sorensen and Gibbs out injured, new signing Gabriel Sara could grab his first league start since moving to England in the summer. American forward Josh Sargent will also be keen to keep his place in the Norwich side.

Coventry

The Sky Blues will potentially be bringing Gustavo Hamer back into the side, after coming on as a second-half substitute in their defeat against Preston. This could mean one of either Martyn Waghorn or Jamie Allen is dropped to the bench in his place.

Aside from Liam Kelly and Callum O'Hare who are still out injured, the Sky Blues are injury free. Nottingham Forest loanee Jonathan Panzo could make his return to the starting lineup.

  • Likely lineups

Norwich

Krul (GK); Aarons, Omobamidele, Hanley, Byram; Sinani, Nunez, McClean, Ramsey; Sara; Sargent (4-4-1-1)

Coventry

Wilson (GK); Dabo, Rose, Panzo, Doyle, Bidwell; Hamer, Sheaf; Waghorn; Godden, Gyokeres (5-2-1-2)

  • Key players

Josh Sargent

American forward Josh Sargent has taken to the Championship like a duck to water this season and he will be desperate to increase his goal tally and take full advantage of an out-of-form Coventry defence.

So far this season, the American has four goals in seven league matches and has proven to be a real handful for defenders across the division. He is a forward player who is strong on the ball, but likes to also run into the channels, making him a defenders nightmare.

Gustavo Hamer

Coventry's Brazilian born, Dutch midfielder has returned from a suspension, following a red card against Millwall. On his day, Hamer is one of the divisions best midfielders who can do just about anything with a football at his feet.

However, with the side low on confidence, the younger players will be looking for inspiration and motivation from the more established footballers, like Hamer. Although he is yet to contribute to a goal this season, his eye for a pass is something the Norwich players have got to keep an eye open for.
