The CWC has been one of the most talked about things in wrestling during the last 10 weeks and has shocked the world with some of the matches that have been put on. Nobody expected the WWE to be capable of pulling off such a tournament, filled with the world's top independent stars who wrestle a totally different style from what is seen in WWE, but they certainly did.

Every single performer put their best into the competition and the matches were fast-paced, high flying and full of amazing spots that had the crowd on the edge of their seats. The tournament was so popular that the company decided to bring back the cruiserweight division, exclusively to Raw, and fans were expecting the same level of wrestling on a weekly basis from the red brand.

This past Raw saw the debut of the division and a fatal four way match to crown a number one contender between four of the CWC's top stars and whilst the match was good and had the crowd invested following a very poor introduction by Mick Foley, there was certainly less high spots and big flips than had been seen during the CWC. According to NoDQ.com, there is a reason for that, one that may disappoint the WWE Universe.

Toning down the cruiserweights

According to the report, it seem's that the cruiserweights are set to be toned down on the main roster with less major high-risk spots and high flying moves being substituted for more mat based wrestling. The reason for this is unknown as that is what made the CWC stand out because it was so different and unique and it is crucial the cruiserweights stand out on Raw and that style of wrestling could have achieved that aim.

Hopefully, the wrestlers will still be able to pull out those moves for big occasions such as PPV's but that remains to be seen.
