With the 3rd entrant into the 2016 Royal Rumble a man who many believed would never come to the WWE, AJ Styles, entered Vince McMahon’s squared circle. Since that January night, Styles has had a WrestleMania match and competed on a Pay-Per-View with the man of the decade for WWE ,John Cena. Yet after the feud concludes who can AJ Styles and The Club compete against? Well, there are a few options that could be entertaining.

The Wyatt Family

Bray Wyatt and his family have come onto the scene and provided a dark and dangerous faction that has gone against Cena, Daniel Bryan, and the Undertaker. This feud could provide three main scenarios with the first scenario being six-man tag matches between the Club and the family. The second option would be to have Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson have tag matches against Braun Strowman and Erick Rowan. The third and most intriguing choice would be an AJ Styles - Bray Wyatt feud which should have dollar signs written all over it. You have the well-established and Styles who’s athletic wrestling style could mesh well with Wyatt powerful and deliberate style.

Yet there are currently two hiccups that could develop with the first being who will be the face. Both the Wyatt’s and Club are heels and one of them would need to change their character to facilitate the feud. The logical choice would be to turn the Wyatt Family because they have been heels for nearly four years and a change would help enhance their character. The second issue would be the return of Luke Harper, who outside of Wyatt, has the best in-ring ability out of the members of the Wyatt Family. Harper suffered a significant knee injury in March of 2016 and his return to the WWE could cause a change in the dynamic of the Wyatt family.

Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins

The two former Shield members Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins are anticipated to be in the WWE title picture for the next few months on the heels of Roman Reigns' suspension. The goal for AJ Styles would be to obtain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and one of those two will have the strap. Whoever has the title belt would become the target for Styles and the Club and this could develop another wrinkle that could lead to a big PPV match.

The Club could attack Ambrose and Reigns when he returns and then attacks Rollins. By attacking all three, Ambrose, Reigns, and Rollins, at the same time would be able to allow for an alliance to be formed. The former members of the Shield would have a common enemy and could lay the groundwork for a short-lived reunion. Imagine a Survivor Series with the most dominant faction in the last decade of the WWE, the Shield, against the most dominant faction from the rest of the world, The Club

Brock Lesnar

AJ Styles v Brock Lesnar has dream match written all over it and the ideal venue for such a clash would be WrestleMania. Styles has the credibility of being a star everywhere else in Pro Wrestling and Lesnar has the crossover appeal of being a legitimate MMA fighter who can attract the attention of the casual sports fan. The important part would be how does the storyline develop. Could it be an elimination at the Royal Rumble or could it be jealousy from AJ Styles because Lesnar is getting more attention? In their Road to WrestleMania, there could be some great promos by Styles and Lesnar’s advocate Paul Heyman along with the Club trying to use the numbers game against the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar.
