Leicester City will welcome Arsenal to the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon, with three points on the line that would boost either side massively.

Leicester come into the game with four wins on the bounce in all competitions after picking up form recently. Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal started the season poorly, but have now found their mojo and are unbeaten in the last eight in all competitions, with their last defeat now two months ago.

It’s set to be an entertaining game in the East-Midlands, with ninth playing tenth. It’s arguably a six-pointer, with three precious points at stake. 

Leicester City 

Brendan Rodgers side have a few injury concerns heading into the game, but for the first time, the Foxes look near to having a fully fit squad. 

Kasper Schmeichel is certain to start in goal, despite Danny Ward’s midweek penalty heroics, the Dane will come back into the side.

Ricardo Pereira is doubtful, after feeling tight from the game, so Timothy Castagne could switch over to the right with Ryan Bertrand coming in at left back. An unchanged back three from their last league game is expected, with Daniel Amartey, Caglar Soyuncu and Jonny Evans likely to start.

Partnering Youri Tielemans in midfield is expected to be Boubakary Soumare, who has done a magnificent job replacing the injured Wilfred Ndidi. Ahead of the pair is likely to be the creative output of James Maddison, who looks to have regained form.

Jamie Vardy was brought off due to a knock against Brentford, but is set to be available, and is expected to partner Kelechi Iheanacho

Arsenal

Arsenal have no fresh injury concerns heading into the clash, with just a few players out for the Gunners’ game.

Aaron Ramsdale is likely to start in goal, after cementing his place in the side since his Summer move. Takehiro Tomiyasu is likely to start on the right side of the back four, while Nuno Tavares is expected to retain his place in the side ahead of the match doubt, Kieran Tierney. Ben White and Gabriel are expected to partner each other in the middle of defense.

Arsenal’s bright youngster, Bukayo Saka, is likely to start on the right side, with Emile Smith-Rowe expected to push out onto the left wing. In the middle of the park could be Thomas Partey and Sambi Lokonga, who combined well together against Aston Villa.

The threats up top in a 4-4-2 formation for the Gunners is likely to be Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang,, who look to cause issues for the Leicester back line.
