Brendan Rodgers’ future remains uncertain as Leicester City draw 0-0 with Crystal Palace, in a dull affair at the King Power Stadium.

The Foxes were looking to lift themselves out the relegation zone, after a disappointing result on the South Coast last time out.

While Patrick Viera was looking for his side’s first Premier League away win of the season.

Crystal Palace will be happier with a point, as Leicester looked the more likely to win the game.

Rodgers’ side came to rue missed chances with opportunities falling to the feet of Harvey Barnes, Patson Daka and James Maddison.

Story of the Match

The first half offered very little by way of entertainment, as both sides struggled to control the run of play.

In the early kick-off, Daniel Amartey looked half asleep as he was caught snoozing on two occasions, with Wilfried Zaha looking to punish.

A well-worked Palace corner gave Zaha an opening but his strike was mistimed and struck high and wide.

Harvey Barnes looked lively after linking well with Patson Daka to create an opening, but the English winger overran and the ball broke nicely for Vicente Guaita.

The Eagles' best opportunity of the half came around the 30-minute mark when a delicious Eberechi Eze free-kick found the head of Marc Guehi, his header just over.

The Foxes came out into the second half looking to impose themselves on the game and find the opening goal.

Good work from Leicester’s left hand side gave Maddison a good opportunity but he got his shot all wrong and found row Z after Barnes had cut it back into a dangerous area.

Maddison again was at the centre of Leicester’s attacking threat this time his long range effort was dragged narrowly wide.

Odsonne Edouard was hoping Halloween had come early as he looked to haunt his ex-manager, Brendan Rodgers. But Danny Ward made a smart stop to turn Edouard’s poked effort around the post.

Timothy Castagne had a chance from a corner, a rarity for the Foxes, but Castagne’s header found the grateful gloves of Vicente Guaita after taking a deflection off a Palace man.

Leicester continued to probe, but the Palace bus was parked and they took the point back down the M1.

Player of the match

In a match that showcase little attacking talent, it was Leicester's summer recruit Wout Faes that stood out.
