The Buffalo Bills added a big name to the team's roster. Reggie Bush will join the Bills after spending last season with the San Francisco 49ers. Bush signed with the Bills after he passed a physical while visiting the team at training camp in Rochester, NY. This after speculation began last month that he was 'considering his options' following the news the Bills were interested in signing him.

Running Back Situation

Bush's signing comes after Bills' rookie running back Jonathan Williams was arrested and charged with DWI in Arkansas on July 14 and the NFL announced the day after it suspended Karlos Williams for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. The Bills drafted Jonathan Williams in the fifth round this year. Karlos Williams rushed for 517 yards and seven touchdowns for the Bills last season.

It is anticipated Bush will backup Bills starter LeSean McCoy. McCoy is entering his second season with the Bills after spending the beginning of his career in Philadelphia. In addition to Bush, Jonathan Williams and Karlos Williams, other potential backups for McCoy include Michael Gillislee, Boom Herron, and James Wilder, Jr. Gillislee. Of those names, Gillislee spent the entire 2015 season with the Bills while Herron was on the team for part of the season. Wilder joined the Bills this year after being on the Bengals practice squad.

Bush's Career

Reggie Bush rushed for nearly 5,500 yards in ten NFL seasons. Bush has had more than 3,500 receiving yards and 781 return yards during his career thus far. Bush spent his first five seasons in the NFL with the New Orleans Saints. He then went to the Miami Dolphins for two years, the Detroit Lions for the next two and was with the San Francisco 49ers last season.
