A game which had everything; a penalty, a red card, and 4 goals in a big 3- 1 victory for Mikel Arteta’s side.

The home side started the game off the brightest and it paid off, with a goal that saw 22 passes in the build-up, before being excellently finished from just outside the box from Thomas Partey

However, this was cancelled out by a Harry Kane penalty after a late challenge from Gabriel Magalhaes on Richarlison, bringing the game level.

The second half saw Arsenal take control and dominate Antonio Conte’s side, with Gabriel Jesus making use of Hugo Lloris's spilt save by bundling the ball home.

Matters then got a lot worse for his side when Emerson Royal’s poorly-timed challenge on Gabriel Martinelli found himself sent off.

From here on it was plain sailing for the home side, with Granit Xhaxa putting his side ahead and continuing his great form.

Here is how the players rated at the Emirates Stadium

Arsenal

Aaron Ramsdale - 7/10

Not the busiest of days he has had in net for Arsenal, having little to do all game but saved well when called upon.

Ben White - 8/10

A good showing at right back for White, who kept his position well whilst producing further up the pitch. Got the assist for Partey’s goal and could have had a couple more.

William Saliba - 9/10

Once more, an excellent performance from the centre-back who has massively impressed since coming back to his parent club. He was very calm on the ball when under pressure and had the pace and awareness to see out any danger.

Gabriel Magalhaes - 6/10

A disappointing foul in the box on Richarlison, which ended with a Tottenham goal, will leave the Brazilian disappointed, but he was solid from this point onwards and helped his side not concede from open play.

Oleksandr Zinchenko - 7/10

The left-back was not directly involved in a lot of the play, but when asked upon, he moved the ball well and put some good crosses into the box.

Thomas Partey - 8/10

A great performance from the Ghanaian midfielder, breaking play up well whilst producing an exceptional finish from outside the box to make it 1-0.

Granit Xhaxa - 8/10

His great goalscoring form continues this season with a lovely low finish to put the game to bed for Arsenal. He was a real nuisance for the opposition, creating chances and pushing his team forward well.

Bukayo Saka - 8/10

Following a great cameo for England in the international break, Saka showed Gareth Southgate once again why he should be starting at this year's World Cup. He was energetic throughout and rarely dribbled into trouble, managing to make plenty of chances, including his shot that rebounded to Jesus to score.

Martin Odegaard - 7/10

Not the most productive showings from the captain but a very disciplined performance, he had some great touches and linked play well.

Gabriel Martinelli - 9/10

Alike Saka, the winger was energetic as ever and full of tricks as he constantly gave the Tottenham defence a lot of problems. He was Arsenal’s biggest attacking outlet in the second half and was rewarded with an assist for Xhaxa.

Gabriel Jesus - 9/10

A great performance in his first-ever North London Derby. He was at the heart of most aspects that went well for his team, interchanging and linking play well whilst having great reactions to capitalise on a Lloris mistake.

Substitutes

Kieran Tierney – N/A

Settled well into the game, and almost scored with a great effort.

Takehiro Tominyasu – N/A

Fabio Vieira – N/A

Albert Sambi Lokonga – N/A

Eddie Nketiah – N/A

Tottenham

Hugo Lloris - 4/10

Not a great day in net for the Frenchman, his biggest fault was spilling Saka’s shot which eventually rebounded into Jesus’ path

Emerson Royal - 3/10

Struggled to make an impact on the game before getting sent off for an awfully-timed challenge on Martinelli.

Christian Romero - 5/10

Strong in the challenge for most of the game, however, could have helped prevent Jesus’ goal with a clearance on Saka’s spilt shot.

Eric Dier - 6/10

Dier brought the ball out of defence well and cleared when asked upon but could not prevent any of the goals.

Clement Lenglet - 5/10

Not a terrible performance, made some important blocks and stepped well when he had to, but could not prevent the three Arsenal goals.

Ivan Perisic - 4 /10

Struggled to get forward but when he did gain the ball in the final third, he consistently lacked a final ball. Not a great day for the Croatian.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg - 5/10

Little to no impact, in a game where he was dominated by the opposition’s midfield. Won the ball well at times but lacked any cutting edge when on the ball.

Rodrigo Bentancur - 6 /10

Despite not impacting the side further up the pitch, he worked well in transitions and maintained possession well on the ball.

Richarlison - 7/10

Was a big handful for Arsenal in the first half, almost scoring with an outstretched leg and showed great persistence to win the penalty.

Son Heung-Min - 5/10

A game in which the South Korean struggled in. He played well on the counterattack in the first half, getting the ball forward quickly, but struggled to make an impact for his team before coming off.

Harry Kane - 7/10

Despite scoring from the spot, he had little service up to him, especially in the second half when his team struggled for possession.
