  • Team news

Solihull Moors

Ahead of Saturday's match, Neal Ardley is expected to name a strong side as his team look to reach the first round proper for the seventh season on the bounce.

Alex Gudger is likely to return to the starting line-up, after recently returning from a long-term injury. Elsewhere, the fate of loanees Alex Reid, Connor Parsons, Fiarce Kelleher and Louie Moulden remain to be seen, but are all expected to still feature.

Basford United

Unsurprisingly, manager Mark Clifford is expected to name his strongest squad possible for the trip to the Armco Arena at the weekend as his side look to reach the first round for the first time in the club's history.

Top-scorer Anthony Dwyer is almost a certain starter and will be keen to build on his superb start to the season, as will fellow striker Ben Starkie and midfielder Joshua Barnes

  • Expected line-ups

Solihull Moors

Louie Moulden (GK); James Clarke, Alex Gudger, Callum Howe, Ben Coker; Callum Maycock, Callum Whelan; Ryan Barnett, Joe Sbarra, Andrew Dallas; Alex Reid (4-2-3-1)

Basford United

Kieran Preston (GK); Owen Betts, Dom Roma, Stern Irvine, Joshua Barnes; Adam Chapman, Seth Patrick, Ben Starkie, Courey Grantham; Anthony Dwyer, Gregg Smith (4-4-2)

  • Key players

Andrew Dallas

Admittedly, it's not confirmed whether Solihull's star-man Andrew Dallas will feature, however if he does he will certainly be the man to watch for the home side this weekend.

So far this season Dallas has scored seven league goals, proving his form last season was anything but a fluke. He is also versatile which is a defender's worse nightmare. Dallas can fill in as a left-midfielder, which is where he is more than likely playing but he can also play as a lone striker and is usually clinical in-front of goal.

Anthony Dwyer

The man to watch for Basford United is their leading scorer Anthony Dwyer. Dwyer is a physical forward and will be desperate to take centre stage and make club history for his side at the weekend.

This season to date, Dwyer has scored nine league goals in just thirteen league matches and is someone that has proven to be a very tough man to stop when it matters. If the visitors want to make club history, they need their key players to be on their A-game which is definitely something that Neal Ardley's side have to be cautious about.
