Burnley make the trip to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, with their recent record looming over their shoulders.

The Clarets have a dreadful record over their opponents at The Etihad during the Sean Dyche era with the aggregate score in the last five visits in league and cup being 24-1 to the hosts.

  • Team News

Burnley will be without captain Ben Mee, who tested positive for Covid-19 during the week and is therefore self isolating.

The visitors also have doubts over the fitness of Charlie Taylor and Matej Vydra with the latter being forced off in the Czech Republic's victory over Belarus on Monday.

Taylor picked up a knock in training and is touch and go to whether he plays on Saturday.

Connor Roberts played 90 minutes for Wales in midweek but is not expected to feature. Maxwel Cornet will likely return for Burnley after recovering from a hamstring injury.

As for Manchester City, they may be will be without their Brazilian stars, Ederson and Gabriel Jesus,, due to their return from international duty being potentially late.

The hosts will definitely be without Spanish international, Ferran Torres, after he suffered a fractured to his foot whilst on international duty.

Riyad Mahrez is likely to come in for Jesus on the right considering his form against The Clarets

Maxwel Cornet (Burnley): A Burnley player to watch at The Etihad? Well a certain Ivorian, Maxwel Cornet, has a very good record against City with him scoring four in three for Lyon against The Citizens in the Champions League. A glimmer of hope for Burnley perhaps?
