Few would have thought when Matt Hardy left the WWE in 2010 that he would become one of the most talked about wrestler's in the world just six years later, so much so that the company who released him are now interested in bringing him back. Hardy has always been creative and a solid in-ring worker but was always overshadowed by his brother, Jeff Hardy.

However, now the tides have turned. Hardy has finally used his creativeness to full effect by creating the Broken Matt character in TNA and has created some of the most talked about moments of the year with the Final Deletion and his dedication to the character in press interviews as well as his Twitter account.

WWE interest

Most fans always expected to see Matt Hardy in a WWE ring again, but most had presumed it would be alongside his brother reforming the Hardy Boyz. However, according to reports on NoDQ.com the WWE and Triple H, in particular, have expressed an interest in signing Hardy once his contract comes to an end.

Hardy has apparently already had positive feelers from those who have contacts within WWE about a return and he did recently post on social media a picture of himself at WWE headquarters.

Whether the Broken Matt character would be the same or if it would be something else, it would certainly be popular amongst fans who have been heard chanting 'Delete' during several WWE segments lately.

Shelton Benjamin plans

One former WWE star who is set to return to the company is Shelton Benjamin. The Gold Standard athlete was expected to be back with the company several weeks ago but his return has been halted due to injury.

However, it seems that the creative team has been working on ideas for Benjamins return and they include a stable. Whilst most would presume that stable would involve American Alpha due to Benjamin's history with Team Angle that isn't the case, although it is something similar. The plans, according to NoDQ would see him involved in a Varsity-club style group with SmackDown's Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler and with the amateur background of all three men the idea isn't too far-fetched.

Sadly, with Benjamin's injury set to keep him out for six months to a year, these plans could easily change or be scrapped by the time he does return to the company.
