In a game that ebbed and flowed on the banks of the River Thames, Marco Silva will be the manager that leaves Craven Cottage the happier. Fulham shocked Liverpool in an entertaining fixture that ended with the points shared, leaving Fulham fans with a lot to be excited about.

The Cottagers took the lead twice but were pegged back by Jurgen Klopp’s men on both occasions. Mohamed Salah tapped home an equaliser for the Reds in the 80th minute, but the game finished 2-2. For Fulham one point gained. For Liverpool it will feel like two dropped.

Fulham Player Ratings

Marek Rodák – 6/10: Nothing really to note. Couldn’t do much about either of Liverpool’s goals, but still had to pick the ball out of his net twice. Can’t go much higher than a 6/10.

Kenny Tete – 6/10: With his position at threat from new signing Kevin Mbabu, the right-back provided a solid performance setting up Aleksandar Mitrovic’s first goal.

Tosin Adarabioyo – 6/10: Solid defensively kept Roberto Firmino quiet in the first half. A little unfortunate with Liverpool’s first goal after the ball ricocheted off him onto Darwin Núñez.

Tim Ream – 5/10: Again, defensively strong managing to keep one of the best attacks quiet for most of the game. Darwin Núñez caused him problems when he came on and Ream was to blame in the mix-up that led to Liverpool’s equaliser.

Antonee Robinson – 7/10: Really strong performance from the 24-year-old American. Managed to keep the explosive Mo Salah quiet most of the game by forcing him to make his runs from deep.

João Palhinha – 8/10: The Portugese international strolled onto the pitch for his Premier League debut and didn’t really break sweat. He controlled that midfield. A classy player. Looks a top signing.

Harrison Reed – 7/10: Conducted the tempo of the game and the deep-lying Palhinha allowed reed to break through the lines.

Andreas Pereira – 7/10: The Brazillian midfielder signed from Manchester United, impressed on his Fulham debut. Found himself in some really nice positions. Tried too hard, made the wrong decisions. Will be key to Fulham avoiding relegation.

Bobby De Cordova-Reid – 4/10: No impact, looked like a fish out of water. A championship player that needs to make that step up to the Premier League.

Neeskens Kebano – 6/10: Came millimetres away from hitting the back of the net when his strike cannoned back of the post. Looked dangerous at times.

Aleksandar Mitrovic – 10/10: The perfect performance from Mitrovic, deserved to be the match-winner today. There have been doubts as to whether he can do it in the Premier League, based off today’s performance he absolutely can. He became the first player to dribble past Virgil Van Dijk and the first to win a penalty off him. Held the ball up well. Added some flair. Won the penalty, scored it. Proper striker’s performance. His goal’s will be vital to Fulham’s season.

Substitutions

Manor Solomon - 6/10: The player brought in on loan, didn't get much of an opportunity as Liverpool had most of the ball pushing to turn the game around.

Tom Cairney - N/A: Back when he last made a Premier League appearance he was touted for a big move. Now he finds himself up against it to get his position back off Pereira

Shane Duffy - N/A: Small cameo from a man with a wealth of Premier League experience. Good player to bring on to se out he final few minutes.
