Well, there you have it. The biggest deals of the day all summed up. We've been Jonathan Walsh, Sam Smith, Aaron Stokes, Rob Tonkinson, Brandon Sayer, Jack McGraghan, Oliver Emmerson, Joseph Nicholson, Kaustubh Pandey and Neil Leverett. Thanks for following!

Finally, the biggest deal of the day came from Tottenham Hotspur. The North London side managed to steal Moussa Sissoko from the jaws of Everton at a very late stage of the day. The Frenchman signs on a five-year deal.

West Ham added former Real Madrid defender Alvaro Arbeloa to their squad. Enner Valencia exited the club by moving to Everton on a season-long loan.

Sunderland will feel agrieved to have not strengthened their squad further, as they missed out on a late move for Yann M'Vila.

It was a busy day in the North East as Newcastle completed the signing of winger Christian Atsu from Chelsea. Over the water, Sunderland added two new additions to their squad in the form of record signing Didier N'Dong and Jason Denayer

Champions Leicester City have broken their transfer record for the third time in this window by signing Algerian forward Islam Slimani for £28m.

Chelsea had a busy day with two new additions. Marcos Alonso has returned to Premier League after signing for around £24m. David Luiz has also sensationally returned to the club two years after leaving for Paris.

Mario Balotelli has exited Liverpool on a free transfer. He has moved to Nice. Luis Alberto has followed him out of the club with a move to Lazio.

Back to the news from earlier today- Samir Nasri and Elaquim Mangala both left Manchester City for La Liga. Nasri has moved to Sevilla, whilst Mangala will ply his trade in Valencia. Joe Hart's Torino move was also completed.

Just as we speak, Hull City have confirmed the signing of Markus Henriksen from AZ Alkmaar.

We also saw Stoke City confirm season-long loan deals for Wilfried Bony and Bruno Martins Indi. The Ivorian featured in a freiendly for the club just hours after signing. Impressive!

Earlier today we learnt the identity of Jack Wilshere's club for the season. The England international decided to snub Roma and Palace in favour of a move to Bournemouth.

That's it. The transfer window is done and dusted. There is only probably a few more deals to be finalised and confirmed. Here are the biggest deals from throughout what has been a remarkably busy Deadline Day!

15.55 Many will be surprised that Wales striker Hal Robson-Kanu is still without a club after his performances at the Euros. Sky Sports are reporting that the forward is on his way to West Brom for a medical. The deal doesn’t have to be completed today as he is a free agent.

Thanks for your coverage Neil. There are now just eight hours to go until we reach the deadline. My name is Joe Nicholson and I’ll be here to take you through until 4pm. You can tweet me @joe_nicholson96

14.43 Islam Slimani is closing on a move to Leicester City ahead of a £28m move and according to Sky Sports is having a medical in Bologna.

14.37 Still a few moves that hang in the balance. Rumblings emerged last night on Chelsea's bid to bring back David Luiz from PSG. With the future of Liverpool's Mamadou Sakho also in the air, some suggestions on social media that Luiz' departure could prompt a move for Sakho..

14.34 And now from the North-East, as Newcastle United have reportedly turned down a £4.5m offer for defender Paul Dummett, according to the Newcastle Chronicle.

14.19 DONE DEAL : Samir Nasri joins Sevilla on a season-long loan.

14.16 The Giallorossi however are reportedly encountering difficulties due to the club's refusal to let Arsenal talk to Kostas Manolas earlier this summer.

14.13 Crystal Palace started the day as favourites but shortly before lunchtime it was Bournemouth who looked the more likely to acquire his services. Now according to @bbcsport_david AS Roma have agreed terms with Wilshere's camp.

14.12 The other big developing saga through the day has been the future of Jack Wilshere. After Arsenal made the decision to allow the midfielder to leave on loan, the race to sign Wilshere has gathered apace.

14.07 So what's happened thus far on Deadline Day? The big mover over the last hour has been Wilfried Bony's loan move to Stoke City.

Welcome to Vavel's coverage of Deadline Day! I'm Aaron Stokes and I'll be taking you through some of today's action.

The biggest story from abroad yesterday saw Yevhen Konoplyanka complete his loan move to Schalke 04, with the Royal Blues adding in an option to buy for €15m.

The other major deals of the day involved Hull City, as they brought in Ryan Mason - for a club record fee - and David Marshall. Crystal Palace also secured Loic Remy on loan for the remainder of the season.

West Brom have sold Cristian Gamboa to Celtic, and could also sell on troublesome forward, Saido Berahino to Stoke City. Watford signed two players yesterday, with Kenedy and Adrian Mariappa joining the Hornets.

Sunderland lost Jeremain Lens on loan for the remainder of the season to Fenerbahce, but look set to bring in one of not more players on Deadline Day. Leicester City opted to extended the contract of Marc Albrighton for a further four years.

Starting with Arsenal, they announced deals for both Lucas Perez and Shkodran Mustafi, which took the total spent by Premier League clubs to over £1bn. It also looks like both Jack Wilshere and Samir Nasri are on their way out.

With nothing happening at the moment, it's probably best to go through what happened on a busy day yesterday.

It's not only the Premier League which has seen big sums forked out though. In Italy, Juventus paid over £70million for Gonzalo Higuain, whilst Borussia Dortmund agreed a deal to bring Mario Götze back to the Signal Iduna Park. Whether or not those deals will be eclipsed remains to be seen, but we'll keep you up to date with everything that happens today!

We've seen players brought in from overseas, such as Paul Pogba to Manchester United and Granit Xhaka to Arsenal, whilst big money has been spent inside England's top division, Sadio Mane's transfer from Southampton to Liverpool a perfect example.

We've seen a huge amount of spending in the transfer window, most notably from Premier League sides, who have broken the £1bn barrier for the first time in history.

Hello one and all, and welcome to VAVEL UK's live coverage of everyone's (perhaps least) favourite day of the year, Deadline Day! Whether your club is selling, buying or switching the lights off early, we'll have it all covered!
