Norwich midfielder Leroy Fer has completed his £8million pound move to QPR on a three-year contract deal, becoming Harry Redknapp's fifth signing of the summer with Ferdinand, Caulker, Isla and Mutch all joining the newly-promoted side on their attempt to stay in the top division of England after an unsuccessful spell last time out.

He had this to say upon his unveiling: "I can't wait to get started here, it was always my dream to stay in England, in the Premier League. QPR did well last season to come up and the squad is full of top players, so I'm delighted to be here. Harry told me I was a big target for him and when you hear that from a coach, you want to work with them and play for them. I'm just looking forward to showing what I'm capable of here at QPR."

Redknapp said this about his new signing: "He will be an excellent signing - a Dutch international who played in the World Cup. He is an outstanding midfielder player and will bring a lot of qualities to the club. It is a massive boost and I'm delighted we've been able to get him to QPR."

Fer is another shrewd signing for Redknapp, and an encouraging investment for a side that are attempting to solidify their place in the league this season. He has Premier League quality, and it's no real surprise that he has left Norwich in search for a club in the top division, seeming as The Canaries had been relegated.
