Leicester came from 3-1 down to beat Manchester United 5-3, a shock result considering United had a 2-0 lead. Robin Van Persie opened the scoring with Angel Di Maria adding a second soon after. It seemed to be business as usual for United, who came into this game on the back of a 4-0 win against QPR. Leonardo Ulloa made it 2-1 before new signing Ander Herrera's flick worked it's way past Kasper Schmeichel.

A moment of slight controversy came after when Jamie Vardy pushed Rafael off the ball, arguably a foul before the Brazilian fouled Vardy in the area, David Nugent tucking away the penalty. New signing Esteban Cambiasso scored on his full debut to level the scores before Vardy netted his second of the game, giving Leicester a shocking lead. United's day got even worse when young Tyler Blackett was sent off for bringing down Vardy in the area. Ulloa stepped up this time and gave Leicester a fifth, and a shock win over the 20 time champions.

Van Persie opened his account for the season with a header which went in off defender Liam Moore and gave United the start Louis Van Gaal was looking for. A moment of utter magic followed as Di Maria scooped the ball up and it managed to lob Schmeichel, son of former United hero Peter, and into the back of the net,

It only took Leicester 72 seconds to respond as Vardy sent a cross into the area and Ulloa powered home yet another goal, showing he is capable of the step up from the Championship after signing from Brighton. There was no sign of the onslaught that would ensue, as the defence looked strong, and held a 2-1 lead at half time.

In the 57th minute Ander Herrera smartly touched Rooney's shot into the net, even though it was likely going in anyway from the United captain. The most contentious decision of the match came soon after, Vardy pushed Rafael off the ball and managed to work his way into the area. Rafael, cearly angry, pushed Vardy over in the area and a penalty was given. Vardy should have been penalised for the push on Rafael but Mark Clattenburg ignored United's protests and pointed to the spot. Nugent finished to bring the newly promoted Foxes back into the game.

Esteban Cambiasso, former Real Madrid Galactico and Inter Milan hero, was fastest to react to a blocked shot from Dean Hammond, to prod home past De Gea and score his first goal for the club. Former United player Richie De Laet stole the ball from the recently brought on Juan Mata and found Vardy who scored his second and sent the home fans into delirium.

The final nail in United's coffin was when Tyler Blackett hacked down the ongoing threat Vardy in the area, and received his marching orders from Clattenburg. Ulloa tucked away the penalty and this have Leicester a surprise victory that surely no Leicester fan was expecting this afternoon. Especially when you look at the strikeforce of Man United. Falcao, Rooney, Van Persie, Di Maria, Mata, all threats, couldn't stop United slumping to another defeat.
