Tottenham have a golden opportunity to leapfrog Southampton and Liverpool to move into fifth place as they face relegation strugglers Burnley in one of Sunday's two Premier League fixtures. The Saints lost 1-0 away at Everton whilst The Reds were comprehensively beaten 4-1 by Arsenal.

Mauricio Pochettino's men know that UEFA Champions League qualification has not yet mathematically alluded them, but unless the teams above manage to capitulate on epic proportions, they face the possibility of vying for Europa League spots. Spurs have the chance to move just five points behind defending champions Manchester City, who travel to south London on Monday evening to face Crystal Palace - not a bad return for a side that has been plagued by inconsistency in recent months.

Spurs have won three of their last four games and have star striker Harry Kane back and fit from international break with England, where he got off to a dream start - scoring after just 80 seconds on his debut against Lithuania last week. Burnley are in the relegation zone and struggling, but they'll take confidence from the fact that with seven games remaining, they have provided a tough test at home against the bigger sides in the league. They were 1-0 victors against Manchester City before the break, drew 0-0 with Manchester United at the start of the season and were unlucky not to get a positive result against league leaders Chelsea on the opening round of matchday fixtures.

Team news:

Burnley defender Stephen Ward is a doubt for the game, but a possibility having overcome an ankle injury. Matt Taylor, who has not played since August following Achilles surgery, is set for a return.

Tottenham's first-choice goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has been ruled out of the trip to Turf Moor, courtesy of a knee injury he suffered during the opening exchanges against Leicester City before the break.

Stats:

The Clarets have scored just 14 goals in 15 Premier League home matches this season, whilst Spurs have only kept one clean sheet in their last 13 Premier League away games.

Spurs won the corresponding fixture 2-1 at White Hart Lane in December, whilst the hosts for tomorrow's fixture have only won six of their last 28 home PL games.

Harry Kane's 19 Premier League goals so far this campaign have won Pochettino's men 22 points; nine more than ANY other player has won for their respective side in the league.

PREDICTION: Burnley have proved themselves against the bigger sides, and Spurs are no different. Although Tottenham will be the favourites, they should not expect the hosts to be pushovers, by any stretch.

Predicted starting line-ups:

Burnley: Heaton, Duff, Shackell, Mee, Trippier, Arfield, Jones, Boyd, Barnes, Vokes and Ings.

Tottenham: Vorm, Davies, Vertonghen, Dier, Walker, Mason, Bentaleb, Chadli, Lamela, Eriksen and Kane.
