Set up in 2012, the Arsenal employability programme helps people do up CV’s and find work and prepare them for interviews has helped its 200th participant into employment - 44-year-old Borry Jarju. Borry, who arrived in the UK from Gambia four years ago, found work in a Debenhams restaurant and he joins 11 others from the programme to find employment in Debenhams. He is overjoyed as he said “To tell you the truth - and you might think I am over-emphasising but I’m not - the most important thing in life is to feel appreciated and Arsenal in the Community have given me that. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate everyone who’s helped me.”

Arsenal academy youngsters Finley Stevens and Nathan Butler have joined forces with other young footballers to hit the recording studio up to offer their take on all together now which they have recorded to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the First World War. Along with sixty others recorded the in Parr Street Studios and the Academy Players are due to play in the the Premier League's Christmas Truce Tournament in Ypres later this month. The tournament, which has been running since 2011, brings young players from England, Germany, Belgium and France together each year to play football in a spirit of peace and reconciliation.
