1. Chelsea 6-0 Arsenal

Arsene Wenger’s 1000th game in charge, was one he would like to forget but surely will never be able to. Arsenal were thrashed at the Bridge and were 3-0 down in 17 minutes, thanks to Chelsea’s clinical counter attacking. The game also involved Gibbs being sent off for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s handball.

2. Liverpool 5-1 Arsenal

The curse of the 12:45 kick-off was born. Arsenal lost all four of their early kick-off’s last season including three away day thumpings at the hands of the top three that season. Again an early start left Arsenal reeling, this time 4-0 down within 20 minutes. Sterling and Sturridge each scored two as Arsenal came off the top of the table.

3. Stoke 1-0 Arsenal

As usual Arsenal were at the hands of some robust treatment, with Charlie Adam lucky to stay on the pitch after a horrific challenge on Olivier Girioud. A Jonathan Walters' 76th minute penalty gave Stoke the victory as Yaya Sanogo missed a sitter in the dying minutes.

4. Everton 3-0 Arsenal

Roberto Martinez proved himself a tactical genius on this day as he moved Romelu Lukaku onto the wing to face up against Nacho Monreal. Lukaku ran the show grabbing one for himself and assisting Stephen Naismith. Another day out on Merseyside to forget for the Gunners.

5. Stoke 3-2 Arsenal

Another more recent loss at Stoke. A poor start which found Arsenal 1-0 down in 20 seconds and then 3-0 down in the first-half. A poor defensive display which fans have come accustomed to seeing away at Stoke stopped Arsenal from achieving any points. Not even a second half attempted fight back but scrape any dignity for Arsenal.
