When speaking on Sky Sports this morning, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho made some surprising comments about Arsenal. The Portuguese manager said "I don't understand why they are not up there with Chelsea and Manchester City." His quotes have been seen by some as praise and by others as jibes.

Mourinho, who was appearing on Goals on Sunday, also praised the Arsenal squad: "Arsenal are a team I like very much. They have very good players and Alexis (Sanchez) is a very important player to add to what they have got. They are a team for more." He went on to say that: "When you look at the players in the squad, they are capable of playing very good football."

As well as commenting on Arsenal and their squad, he also commented on his long term rival Arsene Wenger during the interview, "He has a dream job, everyone would love to have the security he has of being manager year after year after year. He won so many titles in a certain period and that gave him that credibility he deserves. He is obviously a fantastic manager. He has a fantastic situation to be successful."

Mourinho, who's Chelsea team drew 1-1 in a controversial match against Burnley yesterday, also commented on Manchester United, referees and his match yesterday during the interview.
