Arsenal have been reportedly interested in Chilean midfielder Charles Aranguiz and have been scouting this young talent since last summer, according to reports in Brazil.

The player, who plays for Internacional, earned interest from multiple clubs during the World Cup last year where he managed gain a few appearances. He was even included in the team that famously eliminated Spain and almost knocked out Brazil in the round of 16, but lost out on penalties.

Aranguiz, with 31 international appearances, was named Player of the Tournament in Internacional’s winning campaign last year and the club is resigned to losing the exciting youth player.

The play-maker is third-party owned and it is believed that his price tag is around £5.5 million. In the past few years, he has been part-owned by clubs like Granada and Udinese, although he never actually played a game in Europe.

A report from MirrorFootball last year listed him as one of the five players that your club should sign that play in Brazil. Other players on this list were Everton Ribiero and Marcelo.

Lucas Silva, who was also on the list, was signed by Real Madrid in January and has played a total of five games.
