This morning, news about Jurgen Klopp leaving Dortmund at the end of the season broke out in Germany and spread around the world. As expected, the popular manager was linked to a number of top clubs such as Manchester City, Bayern and Arsenal. The first question I asked myself was "Why did Klopp start something at Dortmund and then jump off the sinking ship?" The second question I asked myself was "Why would Arsenal approach him now?"

Jurgen Klopp is a young talented manager, there's no doubt about that. His work at Dortmund, especially in 2012 to win the Bundesliga and then, a year later, lead his side to a narrow defeat against Bayern in the Champions League final will forever be appreciated. However, if Arsenal were to make a move for Klopp, it would have been during the summer or in two years to come, not now. Arséne Wenger and Klopp have similar philosophies. They both believe in the importance of youth, they both like to play good football, even if at different tempos yet, one is arguably the most loyal manager in the game, whilst the other is a quit.

Before he signed his new contract in the summer, there was a lot of speculation regarding possible successors of Arséne Wenger, names such as Roberto Martinez and Jurgen Klopp were listed. Many fans felt that Wenger should leave Arsenal on a high after ending the trophy drought, but Wenger once again committed himself to Arsenal, like he has during his whole career at Arsenal. Wenger himself has confirmed turning down offers from teams such as PSG, AS Monaco and Real Madrid, where he would have earned a lot more than he is earning now, but he turned them down because he believed and still believes in this Arsenal squad.

For nine years Wenger almost sacrificied his job, his dignity and his pride for the good of Arsenal, a team he truly loves, so why should Arsenal let Wenger go, one year into his new contract to sign a manager who jumped the ship after one bad season, when aruably Wenger had nine bad seasons yet stayed and kept fighting? If Arsenal let Wenger go for Klopp, it would show a huge lack of respect and gratitude. At least let Wenger see out his contract.

The signing of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez has proved that now Arsenal have paid off the Emirates and Wenger has a good transfer and wage budget, the club can attract super quality. The name "Arséne Wenger" alone attracts quality. Practically every player signed by Arsenal always says something along the lines "I couldn't turn down the opportunity to work with a manager like Wenger". I'm 100% sure Jurgen Klopp wouldn't have that factor, or the respect of players worldwide.

It's clear Arséne Wenger is building an Arsenal team that he wants to dominate English football and European football even when he's gone. Wenger himself said in an interview “The guy who comes in after me will be in a very strong position to deliver something exceptional.” In that same interview Wenger talked about how he aimed to build a new stadium and keep the club in the Champions league, and he's done exactly that with the smallest budget in the top four for 10 years. Give the man credit, where credit is due.

Many fans such as Piers Morgan will moan about a trophy drought of 10 years and say Wenger is tactically inept, but they won't realize how much Wenger has done and sacrificied for the good of the club. This is a man who's been abused for 10 years, has had offers from other clubs, has had no choice but to sell key players and yet still managed to keeep Arsenal in the Champions League, still managed to build the most beautiful stadium in England, still managed to play a style of football adored all over the world.

Some fans want Wenger surpassed this summer by a man who hasn't experienced half of what Wenger has had to experience, a man who is under pressure because of one bad season and decides to leave the club, demoralizing the morale of his players whilst showing a lack of faith. Never. Wenger still has two years left on his contract, the current squad is stronger than it has ever been in the last 10 years, let him run down his contract and let us see what he can do with this team.

Wenger's everlasting faith in Arsenal, love for Arsenal and hardwork for the good of team should never be questioned or forgotten. Approaching Klopp is enticing but we must respect Wenger and keep faith in him, like he has kept faith in his players and the club for the last 10 years of struggling.
