Arsenal will host Hull City in the FA Cup fifth round marking the third successive year the two clubs have faced each other in the competition.

The two sides met in the 2014 final and the third round of last year in the previous two years, with the Gunners winning both fixtures and going on to secure the FA Cup in both seasons.

Hull defeated League One side Bury 3-1 in the fourth round thanks to a hat-trick from Arsenal loanee Chuba Akpom but the youngster will be ineligible for the Tigers' trip to the Emirates due to Arsenal being his parent club, as will fellow loanee Isaac Hayden.

The Gunners, on the other hand, narrowly beat Hull's Championship promotion rivals Burnley 2-1 thanks to goals from Calum Chambers and Alexis Sanchez, either side of an equaliser from Welsh international Sam Vokes.

Although, Arsenal will be heavy favourites to make the quarter-finals for a third successive year, they shouldn't discount the damage the Tigers can do as the two clubs served up a thrilling FA Cup final in 2014 with Hull taking an early 2-0 lead before the Londoners fought back to win 3-2 in extra time to win their first silverware since 2005.

Hull will be eager to finally get one over on the Gunners who were the victors in a repeat of the final last January in the third round, thanks to goals from Per Mertesacker and Sanchez.

With the fifth round tie coming just a few days before Arsenal's first leg against FC Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League, it will be interesting to see what kind of side Arsene Wenger will field and whether the FA Cup remains a priority compared to progress in the League and in Europe.
