11:23 - Hello everyone I am Danial Kennedy and welcome to VAVEL's coverage of Arsenal - Leicester City

Alexis Sanchez was the star man on that late summer’s day with his hat-trick along with goals from Walcott and Oliver Giroud cancelled out a brace from Vardy giving them the 5-2 victory.

One of their best performances in recent memory against Leicester came at the beginning of this season when Wenger’s side visited the King Power Stadium back in September.

The Gunners have won their last eight home matches against the Foxes and 12 of their last 18 overall and have tasted defeat in all that time.

One major factor that stands Arsenal in good stead heading into this contest is there recent record against the Foxes.

Ranieri could name an unchanged side from the victory over Manuel Pellegrini’s side with Shinji Okazaki partnering Jamie Vardy while Matty James and Jeffrey Schlupp are still out of action.

As for the visitors January signing Daniel Amartey is expected to make his first start for Ranieri’s side after completing 90 minutes for the development squad earlier in the week.

Gabriel Paulista is expected to keep his place in the centre of defence ahead of Per Mertesacker while Theo Walcott and Francis Coquelin could come into side in place of Mathieu Flamini and Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Danny Welbeck is closing a return to the first-team after appearing for the Under-21 side but the match has come too quickly for both Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla who are still a few weeks away from a return.

There is no fresh injury concerns for Wenger after their victory over Eddie Howe’s side last Sunday.

Even if the foxes did taste defeat against Wenger’s side they would still be in a great position to carry on their title charge and with matches against Norwich City, West Brom, Watford and Newcastle United coming up the title dream doesn’t seem to be ending anytime soon.

Claudio Ranieri’s took it in their stride and passed with flying colours as they pulled off an impressive 3-1 victory over the Etihad Stadium with goals from Robert Huth and Riyad Mahrez.

Since then they have been on an excellent run of form as they are currently on a seven-game unbeaten run but they possibly faced their biggest test of the season so far when they took on Manchester City.

They have only been defeated on two separate occasions in the league this season with the last time they failed to take any points coming back on Boxing Day when a single goal from Christian Benteke gave Liverpool a 1-0 win.

It has been an unbelievable season for Leicester City and despite many people believing that their title charge would have finished by now there is no doubting that they are currently the favourites to lift the trophy come May.

This match against Leicester will start a tough run of matches for Wenger’s side with matches against Manchester United, Tottenham and Everton and also the small matter of a Champions League clash against Barcelona so a win on Sunday would be a great place to start.

Arsene Wenger’s side managed to get back on track last Sunday when goals from Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain gave them a comfortable 2-0 victory over AFC Bournemouth.

The poor run of form as seem them slip down into third but with just goal difference just separating them and second-placed Tottenham and with them taking on Manchester City it could prove to be a great opportunity to assert themselves back in the title race.

However there has been a big slump in form since then as they failed to pick up three points in their next four league matches with one defeat and three draws.

Things looked to be perfect at the turn of the year for Arsenal as their 1-0 victory over Newcastle United put them at the top of the table.

Sunday lunchtime will see one of the biggest matches of the season so far when third-placed Arsenal takes on Premier League leaders Leicester City.
