The English Football Association have charged Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho with improper conduct against Aston Villa last weekend. The Chelsea boss was dismissed at the end of the game by Chris Foy for entering the pitch and try to have a conversation with the referee.

Chelsea faced Aston Villa last weekend and were shockingly defeated by a goal after two red cards handed to Willian and Ramires. At the end of the game, Ramires was handed a red card by Chris Foy causing an altercation. After the quarrel, Mourinho re-entered the field to ask the referee a question going against FA's Rule E3. The rule states that managers aren't allowed to leave their technical area and enter the pitch when the game is in play. When the rule is broken the FA charges £8,000-£12,000.

The FA released a short statement on the charge on Wednesday.

Jose Mourinho has been charged by The FA following his side’s game against Aston Villa on Saturday 15 March 2014.

It is alleged the Chelsea manager’s behaviour in re-entering the field of play in or around the 90th minute of the fixture and approaching the Match Referee amounted to improper conduct.

Mourinho has until 6pm on 24 March 2014 to respond to the charge.
Jose Mourinho rejoined Chelsea at the beginning of the 2013/14 season after leaving in 2007 managing Inter Milan and Real Madrid.
