Matt Law of the Telegraph reported earlier that Thibaut Courtois ostensibly will miss Chelsea's Barclays Premier League fixture against Swansea City at Liberty Stadium.

The Belgian 'keeper will be missing his third consecutive fixture, calling on Chelsea veteran shot-stopper Petr Cech to start once again in goal. Petr Cech kept clean sheets in both previous matches against Watford and Newcastle United, adding on to his Chelsea clean sheet record.

Although Thibaut Courtois has been participating in training regularly, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is in no rush to bring back the 22-year-old Belgian into the starting squad until he is fully rehabilitated. Mourinho trusts 32-year-old Petr Cech to still perform marvelously in his absence.

Thibaut Courtois is tied for the league lead in clean sheets so far this season with Fraser Forster of Southampton (8). Courtois's most recent appearance was a 5-3 loss to Tottenham Hotspur, in which the defence slacked.
