Midfielder Danilo Pantic of Serbian club Partizan Belgrade has been rumoured to be involved in transfer talks with Chelsea over a  £1.25million fee for four years.

Reports say that Chelsea made the formal offer this past Saturday, with representatives of Partizan in London to discuss the transfer. Partizan are said to have accepted the offer, with the 18-year-old also recently being linked to Serie-A champions, Juventus.

However, if the transfer is finalised, Pantic will extend Chelsea's sea of players on loan to Vitesse in the Netherlands. Is Chelsea seriously considering adding a record 31st player out on loan this season?

Danilo Pantic spoke to Peter McVitie about the potential move:

"At 18 you can hardly have a chance with Chelsea, where they play experienced and already proven stars of world football."

"So I like the idea of playing with Vitesse very much. I think that the Dutch league is ideal for a young player to acquire habits of Western notions of professionalism and develop properly. In the Netherlands, the game is open and it will suit me."
