According to reports in the French media over the past 24 hours or so, Ligue 1 side AS Monaco are amongst the clubs interested in signing Chelsea's talented 18-year-old creative midfielder Charly Musonda on a loan basis - as the startlet is reportedly eager for first-team minutes in the near future.

Jose Mourinho, Chelsea's first-team manager, has already stated that he's keeping an eye on the various youth prodigies in the club's academy, as well as those that have been loaned out to a number of different clubs across Europe and beyond this season. Musonda himself has been rather impressive when playing for the club's youth side this season, and with recent performances has flaunted his versatility; being able to play in a central defensive midfield role as well as a central midfield position, and a more attacking area of the field (at CAM).

Monaco supposedly made an approach for the 18-year-old in January, but were told it was too soon in his development. At eighteen, he is still a very young player, but with his obvious talent and potential to be world-class in a few years, Chelsea are believed to want to loan him out to a fellow Premier League club, where they can monitor his progress much easier.
