Chelsea's Eden Hazard has confirmed that he would be delighted if they signed his Belgian team-mate Christian Benteke from Aston Villa this Summer

Benteke was in great form for Tim Sherwood's side which saw him bag 10 goals in his last 10 league games helping Villa stave off relegation and achieve an FA Cup final place.

Chelsea will need to replace Didier Drogba who is set to leave Stamford Bridge this Summer, and Jose Mourinho will see Benteke as the ideal replacement for the Ivorian, who is of a similar mold to Chelsea's powerful striker.

The 25-year-old Belgian has a buyout clause believed to be around £32million and has set his sights on playing in European competition next season.

"If Christian signs with us, I would be the happiest man in the world," said Hazard.

"I have a great relationship with him and would like nothing better than to play with him.

"Christian is 25. He is at an age where he has to make a good career choice.

"Not that Aston Villa is a small club but he has already played many great games and can now play in the Champions League."
