Over the years, meetings between Chelsea and Swansea have given us plenty to talk about. From Fernando Torres' goal and red card to Diego Costa's hat-trick, VAVEL take a look at the best of the action ahead of Saturday's Premier League opener.

2011/12- Chelsea 4-1 Swansea

A below-par league campaign began with an impressive 4-1 win over Swansea in September 2011, which was a high point of Chelsea's Premier League season. Torres would open the scoring for Chelsea before being shown a straight red card for a bad challenge on Mark Gower, whilst a brace from Ramires and Didier Drogba's late strike secured victory on the day, despite Ashley Williams netting a consolation near the end.

2012/13- Swansea 0-0 Chelsea

After a shock 2-0 defeat in the first leg of the League Cup Semi Final, Swansea were on the brink of a chance at silverware in January of 2013.

A dull 0-0 affair which saw Chelsea crash out of the competition was marred by the controversial sending off of Eden Hazard. As desperation grew thicker for the Blues, Hazard appeared to kick a ballboy that was wasting time towards the end of the match, sending the Belgian off for an early bath.

The incident made headlines and although replays eventually proved Hazard to have kicked the ball instead of the ballboy, that moment made this 0-0 memorable.

2014/15- Chelsea 4-2 Swansea

Last season, Chelsea looked like champions from day one onwards. As Swansea came to town on the fourth weekend of the season, the Blues showed no mercy as they stormed to a 4-2 victory, with the scoreline perhaps flattering Swansea. An early John Terry own-goal was cancelled out after Costa bagged his first hat-trick for Chelsea.

Loic Remy and Jonjo Shelvey got on the scoresheet towards the end to seal a 4-2 win for Chelsea.

2014/15- Chelsea 5-0 Swansea

Arguably the best performance of Chelsea's title winning season came in a 5-0 drubbing of Swansea at the Liberty Stadium.

The opener came after just 15 seconds thanks to Oscar's long range effort before Costa added a brace. Oscar added his second to make it 4-0 at halftime before Andre Schürrle completed the route, making it 5-0 late in the second half.

Jose Mourinho described the performance as the "perfect game" and the result would help Chelsea secure their fourth Premier League title.

Honourable mentions

Chelsea 6-1 Swansea (1983-84);
Swansea 3-0 Chelsea (1980-81).

Saturday's meeting between the two sides marks the Premier League opener as Chelsea aim to retain the title of champions while Swansea will look to sneak into a European place - making this game a great spectable between the two sides.
