Woeful on the road, QPR head to inconsistent Everton for some Monday night football.

Everton sit in a lowly 12th place in the league right now, with 18 points on the board and well off their Champions League position aspirations. Being in the Europa has no doubt had an effect on the side, forcing them to play a lot of games eithier on a Sunday or - like this one - on a Monday, making game preperation less than ideal.

That will not be a distraction again untill late Febuary though, after sealing their place in the knockout round. General inconsitency is the biggest problem they've had this season though, and it showed in their last home game when despite taking the lead they could not see off struggling Hull City.

It might be argued people have wisened up to what Everton are about under Roberto Martinez, which has shown by losing more games than they've won. They also had a fairly quiet transfer window this past summer, so have not offered any new problems for opponents to deal with this season.

Opponents QPR are doing okay for a newly promoted club this season, as they sit on the borderline with regards to the bottom three. Harry Redknapp has clearly targeted certain games they can win which has worked with victories over relegation rivals Sunderland, Aston Villa, Leicester and Burnley.

The problem is all their wins have come at home this season while away from Loftus Road they have not picked up a single point and have barely scored. This puts big pressure on them to win almost all of their remaining home games to survive if their away form cannot pick up.

Like any team near the bottom, goals have been pretty hard to come by with one man carrying the team. That guy is of course striker Charlie Austin, who has netted eight times in the league, however no one else has scored more than twice for the Hoops.

Team News

There are concerns for Everton on James McCarthy, Steven Naismith, John Stones and Darren Gibson who all face late fitness tests with respective injuries.

There are no new injury concerns for QPR, however they will be without star man Charlie Austin who is suspended after his red card against Burnley.

Stats

QPR have allowed opponents 86 shots on target this season, more than any other team.

Everton have the most errors leading to goals in the league this season with eight.

Charlie Austin has scored half of his team's 16 League goals this season.
