Everton are looking at Wolves midfielder Bakary Sako as a possible replacement for Aaron Lennon, who is currently on-loan from Tottenham Hotspur.

Lennon joined Everton on a short loan period back in January and is yet to finalise a deal with 'The Toffees' to stay on next season. The Wolves winger is out of contract this Summer and could come to Merseyside on a free transfer.

Sako, 27 has been at Wolves since August 2012 after a move from France and has found his feet very quickly in England.

In the 2013/14 season, Sako claimed his first silverware for Wolves as they were crowned Champions of League One, the same season as he made it into the PFA League One team of the year.

Despite missing out on the play-offs this season due to goal difference, Sako has been a stand out performer for Kenny Jackett's team and has unsuprisingly attracted some premier league interest.

The former Saint-Etienne midfielder made it into the PFA Championship team of the year after scoring 15 goals this season - the clubs joint top scorer along with Benik Afobe and Nouha Dicko.

Sako is expected to stay in England as Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion are also monitoring the movements over at Molineux.

There's no suprise that several teams in the Premiership are after the 27-year-old, but before Everton make any sort of move, they will need to think about the future of loanee winger Aaron Lennon.
