After barely featuring in any of Everton's games this season, striker Steven Naismith has secured a move to Norwich City on a three year deal for an undisclosed fee. The move was made official today as he completed his medical.

Naismith is one of three Everton players that Roberto Martinez had said are set to leave Everton this window. Aiden McGeady and Darron Gibson are the two others.

No time at Everton

It has been hard for the Scotland international to find any playing time on the front line this season. Romelu Lukaku is already the best striker for Everton and he is almost always in the starting XI. But Naismith also finds himself behind Arouna Kone and it has resulted in a big loss of minutes.

Naismith can play on the wing as well but he is behind in the depth charts there too. Gerard Deulofeu and Kevin Mirallas seem to be the main wingers and Aaron Lennon and a freshly returned Steven Pienaar are the back-ups. The writing was on the wall for Naismith and he deserved a move away from the club.

How can he help Norwich?

Naismith is still a quality striker as he showed earlier this year when he came off the bench and scored a perfect hat-trick against Chelsea in a win at Goodison.

He always chases after the ball and is good for a team when they are pressing. He is a little bit reckless at time, such is his aggression and passion, but Naismith will create chances for the Canaries on the attack. He is never afraid to take a shot and has scored some great goals so, if he gets playing time, he will produce for Norwich.

This is the fifth signing for Norwich in the winter transfer window as they fight to stay up in their first year back in the Premier League
