Leicester City target N'Golo Kante may be more easily persuaded to join the Foxes after ex-Chelsea and Internazionale boss Claudio Ranieri's recent appointment at the club.

Ranieri's appointment could benefit Leicester hugely

Not only has Ranieri's appointment added stability to the growing club, but it may also have made the Foxes appear to be more attractive to high quality players.

Kante is reported to have said that the appointment of Ranieri is an "important" factor in deciding his future.

The 24-year-old also told the French radio station Tendance Ouest: "It's important that they have a coach now - a few days ago I didn't know what Leicester was like, as there was no coach."

Kante still yet to commit

Despite his liking of the managerial appointment at Leicester, Kante is still on the fence and tried hard during his interview with Tendance Ouest to show no preference to any certain club that are after his signature

"For sure it's an impotant factor. For now though I am in Caen. But we will try to resolve the situation with the club and my agents and I hope this matter gets sorted.

"I am in talks with several clubs, and I will make my choice later - today nothing is decided."

Kante's signature will not be an easy catch

Leicester have faced great competetion from the French giants Marseille, however it apears now that their interest in the impressive midfielder has dwindled, after their original offer of five million euros was branded "disprespectful" by the club.

SM Caen general manager Xavier Gravelaine expressed his views to the French media; even suggesting that SM Caen may even opt to keep the heavily sought midfielder.

"For us, OM and N'Golo Kante is over," said Gravelaine. "There could be another foreign offer this week but we may well keep N'Golo Kante."

It's not yet certain who this other 'foreign offer' may come from, however Leicester do appear to be leading the race - especially after almost reaching a deal for Kante last week.

Ranieri's appointment may a play a huge factor in Kante's final decision; but we will have to wait in the coming weeks if not days for Kante to give his answer.
