Liverpool earned themselves a two-legged tie against Chelsea in the Capital One Cup Semis, after beating Bournemouth 3-1 in the Quarter Finals on Wednesday night.
The draw was made shortly after goals from Raheem Sterling (x2) and Lazar Markovic helped the Reds through a tricky game against the high-flying Championship side.
Conducted by former Reds Jamie Redknapp and Graeme Sounness, Liverpool will host Jose Mourinho's Premier League front-runners at Anfield in the first leg - having lost 2-1 to them a month ago in the league, before visiting Stamford Bridge a week later.
The games will be held in the weeks beginning January 19 and January 26 of 2015, when Brendan Rodgers will be hoping to have the services of Daniel Sturridge to rely on, in addition to having hopefully kickstarted their 2014-15 season.
The two clubs have crossed paths on five previous occasions in this competition, most recently in November 2011 - when the Reds triumphed 2-0 at Stamford Bridge en-route to lifting the trophy under Kenny Dalglish at Wembley.
Reds' manager Brendan Rodgers told Sky Sports: "It didn't matter who we got in the draw, it was just important to get there - to win this competition you have to win games against big sides," before continuing: "I thought it was a brilliant performance from us tonight, it was always going to be a difficult job, but we controlled the game and pressed at the right times and created chances. We thoroughly deserved it."
