Promising young playmaker Suso has completed a permanent move to Serie A's AC Milan after the Italian giants agreed a deal with Liverpool.

The Spaniard's contract at Anfield ran out in the summer, meaning he was available for pre-contract talks from January but it is understood Suso has been in contact with Milan for a number of months, after worries over his game time at Anfield.

The 21-year-old has consequently completed a £1 million move, meaning he will leave for Milan this month rather than in the summer, signing a four-and-a-half year deal with Filippo Inzaghi's side.

Suso was highly-rated throughout Liverpool's academy after joining from Cadiz CF and was tipped to be one of the next youngsters to make it on Merseyside after he broke into the side under Brendan Rodgers, making his debut in September 2012.

However, he found chances hard to come by last season and spent the entirety of 2013-14 at La Liga's Almeria, scoring three goals in 33 league appearances.

Earlier this season he was an unused substitute against Ludogorets Razgrad in the Champions League Group Stages and he also netted a goal in Liverpool's win over Middlesbrough in the Capital One Cup, but has found regular playing time hard to come by.

He made a total of 21 appearances at the Reds and the club issued the following statement earlier this morning: "Everybody at Liverpool thanks Suso for his contribution and wishes him the best for the future."

Suso, meanwhile, took to Twitter to announce his joy at the move. He said: "Very happy to become a @acmilan player.Really happy to play for a very important club. Starting a new history there"
