Liverpool return to Barclays Premier League action on Saturday as the Reds travel to London for a mouthwatering clash with in-form Arsenal. The game signals the end of the international break that has kept Brendan Rodgers' side out of action for nearly two weeks, so lets take a look at how Liverpool's players have done since departing Merseyside last Monday.

Due to various injuries, Jordan Henderson and Raheem Sterling were the only players to link up with the England squad. Both played in the 4-0 Euro Qualifier win over Lithuania, which Sterling scored in before returning to L4 after the game for treatment on a toe problem. Henderson stayed with the English side for the duration of the international break, playing most of their 1-1 draw with Italy in Turin on Tuesday.

Centre back Mamadou Sakho didn't enjoy good fortunes for France as he played in their 3-1 loss to Brazil, a game in which Philippe Coutinho didn't feature as he sat out on the bench. The tricky playmaker did feature in Brazil's second game of the period, playing for an hour in the Selecao's 1-0 win against Chile.

Meanwhile, Martin Skrtel took his good form into Slovakia duty, as they recorded two clean sheets thanks to a 3-0 win over Luxemborg followed up by a 1-0 victory against Czech Republic.

Wales manager Chris Coleman praised Joe Allen in the aftermath of Wales' crucial 3-0 victory against Israel. Allen teamed up with Sunday's opponent Aaron Ramsey and Real Madrid star Gareth Bale to secure the win for Wales, who are looking to reach their first major tournament since 1958.

Finally, Emre Can proved a familiar figure in Middlesborough as he completed the full game for Germany U21's against England U21's. Despite being on the receiving end of a 3-2 loss, Can had a good game in central midfield.
